Don t Let Anybody Tell You That Businesses Create Jobs

Well make a job offer to black sands. Or ice weasel. But you know what, I couldn't find any mention of you on the Kirby website. Or on the Net in general. Did find a LOT of customer complaints.

You a legend in your own mind. Or you living off mommies and daddies past success?

Thanks again for including me in any suggestions for job offers ... But since I didn't want to have to work everyday ... I created two jobs as Operations Manager and hired the people necessary to fill the positions.

And believe me ... A capable Operations Manager doesn't come cheap.

Edit:
Crap ... I guess that completely blows the theory business owners don't create the jobs.

Edison created the LIGHT bulb BECAUSE he could see the demand for it..... there was already a demand for Light, during the night....oil lamps were used.... Edison did not create this Demand....the demand/need for 'light' was there before he created the light bulb....

The Wright Bros had also seen the Demand for Flight....hot air blimps were already flying with passengers....

DEMAND , the need, drove the inventions
There was no demand for electric light bulbs before they were invented. Just like air conditioners, people would have liked one hundreds of years ago but it took investing, invention and risk to create a market for them. I think some of you are confusing desire for demand. I would like a robot to vacuum my carpet and do the dishes but I don't have a demand for one.
demand is a need, demand is sales, projected demand is projecting the need and projecting the sales...

There was no sales for the electric light bulb because it was not made yet, but Edison was a business man and could PROJECT the demand for the electric light bulb based off of the use of the oil lamp, and the oil lamp was created, based on the use and demand for candle light and so and and so forth....

NOTHING is created out of a vacuum.... it was the need for a cleaner and easier and safer way to see at night that improved on the oil lamp with the electric light bulb, it was the lack of lumen with candle light that lead to the creation of the oil lamp etc etc etc and the problems or deficiencies with the oil lamp that lead to the electric light bulb after electricity was created.... projected demand drives creation/supply. It's called "reading the market"....the market is the demand or projected demand for a product....it's also called PROGRESS.

Inventors usually do not create things to sell that they KNOW will have no demand or no need.

Desire for improvement leads to innovation....that desire, is the desire of the masses, and can be labeled as projected demand for the product, projected demand for the creation....

Why argue with that? What's your point?

Good for you. However there are lots of people on here struggling. Maybe the Kirby guy could help them out. He has a bunch of people making over 100k. That's good money.

And by the number of post complaining about the economy, a lot of the Repubs here are struggling.

There "point" is that they have locked themselves so tightly into this bullshit fantasy that demand does nothing to create jobs that they have no way back to reality.

So they double down on their stupid statements and pretend they know what they are talking about.

The business would exist without them, it would not exist without the person who created it.

The guy owning/running a roofing business. If all his roofers walk off the job, you still think he has a roofing business?
The guy with the roofing business did not create roofs, shingles, or any other part of the roof. All he does is put a crew on the roof so a new roof can be put down.

Without his crew, he's got nothing. Cause he sure as hell is not going to do a 35 square roof with a three layer tear off by himself. That's for damn sure.

Why not? He probably started out by himself anyway. He might take a little longer, but can still get the job done. You act like the guy who owns a roofing business had never picked up a hammer. How likely do you think that is?

Besides all he needs is a few more guys to put on the roof. He still has all the contracts for materials, tools and equipment, trucks, accounting info, marketing, business license, etc. Hire a few guys and he's back up to full steam ahead.

Now, conversely, how much of a business is a bunch of roofers standing around with no tools, no truck, no materials, no marketing, no accounting, and no business license?

Employers hire to service customers. If there is an upturn in customers employers hire more employees. The increase in customers created more jobs.[/QUOTE

No. You can have more revenue or more customers but that doesnt lways mean more jobs. Not if the money is coming in and going out to places like taxes, new office, upgrades in technology etc.. ill be your mentor kid.

Name a situation where more revenue and more customers wouldn't equate more employees.
Easy. Software.

Once the software is written you could sell it to every person on the planet without hiring a single additional person.

But I've already given that example.[/QUOTE]
Not really though Math.... You couldn't sell it to every person on the planet without improving your means and capabilities to distribute it...so maybe you had to buy more servers or get a larger computer to keep all the files on all of the people you have sold it to....which gets others that you rely on to hire more people, or you just can't handle the sales of every person on the planet without hiring someone to do your taxes or run your accounts payable or receivable. there is no way, that you and you alone could sell your software to every person on the planet, without hiring more people or contracting with people who have to hire more people, even with software....imho.

Crap ... I guess that completely blows the theory business owners don't create the jobs.

Really? So are you saying that you had no need for these new employees until AFTER you hired them? That there wasn't a growing demand for what it is you do?
For some reason, I don't believe that.

But I'm sure you will say that is the case. If so, why didn't you hire 10 people?

A projection, as you put it, isn't a need. Therefore, no demand. People were surviving, like we do prior to every invention. People can't demand what they don't know. Desire isn't demand. Entrepreneurs create a means of satisfying a desire.

A whore is satisfying a desire, people may demand her services but they don't need it.

Demand/projected demand/need comes first, then comes supply or innovation of supply.

all the demand in the world without supply does nothing

all the supply in the world without demand does nothing

thus supply and demand go hand in hand.

Crap ... I guess that completely blows the theory business owners don't create the jobs.

I have always indicated that if any employee thinks they can do it any better ... And earn more money than they currently do ... They need to open their own business. If they think they can create more jobs (which they can) and pay their employees what they think the employee should earn (which they should do) ... Then they should stop blaming other people for their cowardice in taking the risk on themselves.

sheesh, you sure are trying to fight and double down on a losing cause....

DEMAND/PROJECTED DEMAND is EVERYTHING, when it comes to a business and business plan.

Record profits reported by major corporations.

Income for the working people has not risen in proportion to profits for the companies. Or risen at all in some cases.

Sounds like the employees need to open their own business ... Since they do everything else anyway.

.
Lol... nobody is stopping them you ******* idiot! Do you grasp what that means? Fully?

How could I grasp what it means ... If I was a ******* idiot?

.
Was hoping you were hungover and would answer it after you leveled off.

You have never done a roof have you? 35 square, three layer tear off. NO ONE does that by themselves. The customers don't like it, the job takes forever. The business owner can't take all his time on a roof. Who's out there selling the next job? And the guy with a roofing business has more than likely been a roofer. That's why there is no ******* way he takes on a job that big by himself.

And you have never been a roofer either. I have.

And all he has to do is put a few more Mexican roofers on the job eh. Illegals every one. You good with that?

Now, conversely, how much of a business is a bunch of roofers standing around with no tools, no truck, no materials, no marketing, no accounting, and no business license?

Funny. Every real roofer I know has a truck, tools, air compressor, nail guns, ladders. etc. Contacts are easy for material. You think roofing supply companies won't sell to any roofer that has the money to pay for materials.
As to selling a job. That is the issue for all companies. How to find the work and how to close the sale. That can be a problem for every business.

No if the guy loses his crew, he is effectively out of business. At least for a while.

You still sleep with a night light on ? Wow.. makes sense now.

That's pretty pitiful there NG. Makes no sense by the way. But that is not unusual around here.

But yep, got me one of them 4watt night lights plugged in the bathroom outlet. Don't wanna trip and fall now in the middle of the night when I got to piss.

Evidently. based on a post a short while ago, you just piss your pants instead of heading to the bath room.
Try getting a night light.
Figure of speech dude. Figure of speech. Plus, i dont pee in middle of night in bathroom. What do you think the window is for?

Why you talk to black sands that way. He's on your side. Hell, he might want to sell Kirbys.
BS, you want a job selling vacuum cleaners door to door? NG has the most successful franchise in Kirby history.

Just trying to help those of you that are struggling out there.

We are legends in the business. Been part of a 100 year old company for 64 years of its life span. We know the president and he knows us.

We hire 3 weeks out of month. I believe everbody should have the right to financial security. They need to work hard for it, though.

Hey maybe you are speaking to a subject you actually know something about. Carry on. This could be interesting.

Your mom and dad retired and died? And so young. Sorry to hear that.

So are you living off their success or not?
