Dogs are racist, yes a group of Leftist lunatics have decided that dogs can be racist. If you read article though, it's the dogs OWNER who has "made" the dog "racist"....what they term:

"Improper socialisation" :rolleyes-41:

Dogs are humans best friends, they are so because dogs can automatically sense danger and they let us know and they're prepared to protect us from that danger.

The Leftists just not only hate us, they also obviously hate dogs now.

What to do if your dog seems racist

"Weā€™re used to thinking of dogs as our best friends. So itā€™s all the more upsettingā€”sometimes even personally offensiveā€”when a beloved pet behaves badly.

Most of the time, unruly behavior can be fixed with dog training classes, a firm voice and a few well-timed treats. But what are owners supposed to do if their dogs act racist?

Perceived racism in dogs is a phenomenon acknowledged by many animal behavioristsā€”and common enough that thereā€™s even a Key and Peele sketch about it. Many owners report that their normally friendly dogs will suddenly become stiff and growl at a random person: typically, someone with darker skin.

Itā€™s an awkward, and potentially dangerous, situation for both dog owners and for the person on the receiving end. And thereā€™s an ugly history behind dogsā€™ aggression: Writer Kelly Mays McDonald details how police and state forces have long deployed dogs as weapons against people of color in a 2015 article for The Awl.

The good news is that dogs arenā€™t actually racist. In most cases, dogsā€™ negative reactions can be chalked up to improper socialization.

ā€œI deal with that particular issue all of the time,ā€ Suzi Schaefers of the Canine Psychology Center tells Quartz."

Dogs aren't racist. Nor, when they are reactive towards those of unfamiliar races, are they "protecting" you. They're reacting becuase it's unfamiliar.

Exactly, which is why this "study" is just so stupid.

I find it laughable when people apply such things to other creatures. Dogs are dogs - and that is a wonder in and of itself!

Yes these "groups" are getting more ridiculous.

Dogs are a wonder, as are most animals, wonders and all special.

Dogs are as racist as I am...

I bark and growl at those that smell funny to me and not because of their skin color... Can't help some smell funnier to me than others...

( Yes, I know this about dogs and I made it about me again )

My dog hates negroes.

Dogs aren't racist, they just instinctively know when someone has bad intentions toward their owner or others. This may very well explain why the hair stands up on their necks and they growl when a black person approaches their owner. Nature has blessed them with this ability.

I was interviewing roomies some time back, and was amazed when ALL THREE of my dogs hackles rose when this one black lady came in to look at the room. She seemed pleasant to me, very bubbly and sweet...but all three of the dogs wouldn't go anywhere near her. I wondered wtf? Are my dogs racist? They have never done that before though....and they have met plenty of blacks. And I have a black roomie currently. So, I slapped myself thinking such a dumb thing, realizing they were picking up something from her that i was not. Needless to say, I didn't rent to her. All potential roomies have to pass the dog test now. (This happened years ago when I first got this house).
