And now for the truth from the article. This guy got fired and he is disgruntled! How long was he involved? The guy starting mouthing off to reporters before he was even involved!!!!

And then, my access got revoked pretty shortly after. I didn't get notified. I was basically ghosted and I just got an email notification that my access was no longer valid.

Back in the late 90's I worked on computers and networks in the Army. The 18th Airborne Corp fielded a system that was supposed to make communications with the Forward Support Battalions back to the rear easier. The piece of shit never really worked cost around 60,000 per unit. The optical drive cost 8k. I could have gotten stuff off shelf for a tiny fraction of what this garbage cost the tax payer and made it work and this wasn't the only instance of waste I ran into during my years in the Army.

Personnel experience with wasteful government if you think there is no fraud or waste in the Fed you are a moron.

New fraud, waste and abuse taskforce

The secretary announced a major new initiative to detect and prevent fraud, waste and abuse in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Effective today, this initiative has the potential to save tens of millions of taxpayer dollars currently at risk, for fraud, waste and abuse that can be redirected to better serve Veterans.

The initiative will include bringing in the leading thinkers from the private sector and other government organizations in an advisory committee to identify and leverage cutting-edge fraud detection tools and; and coordinate all fraud, waste and abuse detection and reporting activities across the department through a single office.
