heard yesterday our old dogs kidneys are shutting down,,

may be a chance to flush them and get some more time but not looking good,

not good news,,

treatment to clean out her kidneys didnt work so shes home resting while s
she is still happy, she eats a little bit and can get around slowly,
so when we see she isnt enjoying life we will let her go

DD's story is she followed my wife and our coon hound mix home from th

e park about 12 yrs ago,, she was maybe 6 months old and from what she looked like had only a day or two left in her she was so skinny,

she ended up being one of the greatest dogs we even had, her only problem was she lived in the wild so much she would litteraly eat anything.
she ate a rubber superball that cost us 600 dollars to get removed out if her intestines and then she ate a whole bottle of ibuprofen that cost 1100 dollars at the ER vet to pump her stomach at midnight on a saturday night,,

wouldnt trade any of that for the time we have with her,,

she also loves sitting in the hot sun more than any black dog I have ever seen,

here she is with mom and evil step sister sally this morning and sitting in the door watching the world go by outside,,

We only have them for a short time my little chap i had for 15 years that past very quick we had so much fun, good luck with your little friend.

This was Sammy my Dog he was only nine weeks old when i got him and fifteen years old when he passed, still think about the fun we had.

we've had DD for about 11 yrs,,

its been two weeks and shes doing OK,, shes pretty weak and we need to be there to support her when she pees and poops or tries to get up,,

shes only pooped twice in that time that we know of,,

she seems happy enough just sitting on the porch or in the yard all day,

and shes not eating much and I think shes playing us cause I am down to making her a ham sandwich or she wont eat at all,,

her normal food is fresh chicken and rice with steamed vegetables then she wanted hamburger,, I am sure next it will be polish sausage or hotdogs,, not many options from here

my wife is struggling with it the most,
shes out of town for a week and afraid she wont be here when she gets back but I think she will,,

just walked down in back with her nd she struggled getting back but she made it,,

its been two weeks and shes doing OK,, shes pretty weak and we need to be there to support her when she pees and poops or tries to get up,,

shes only pooped twice in that time that we know of,,

she seems happy enough just sitting on the porch or in the yard all day,

this dog is driving me crazy with her eating

I always make an extra fried egg with breakfast by cutting it up in little peices and feeding it with a fork, but DD wont eat the egg itself but has no problem eating my egg sammich instead,,

we feed them fresh chicken rice and steamed veg and now she wont eat it but if I make a sammich of chicken rice and veg she gobbles it down,,

in a bowl its bad but on bread its good??

They are funny, years ago i had a big Tortoise he was over thirty when he died and my Dog was jealous of him and stole his lettuce, he didn't eat it just chewed it up then spit it out

What a scumbag, looks like a English Bull Terrier, they are great dogs if treated right very loyal.
