We talk about the Saints every day! What wonderful companions they are!
I especially like St. Rose of Lime, whose feast was just a few days ago. She was a model of kindness to all. In a time in Peru, when Spanish descended people would not touch natives or blacks, she gave what was, at the time, medical care to brown and black slaves and other poor people.

As father spoke about St. Augustine today, he pointed out that he was African and most probably black, and then he pointed out the likelihood that the Catholic Church is the most diverse organization in the world, where whites are probably the minority.
Makes you wonder, huh?

The two I know best are St. Denis and St. Blaise. Our priest never misses giving us the Blessing of St. Blaise on his feast day, and everyone waits in line after Mass is over!

I prayed for St. Denis' intercession for our bishop, who had to take some time off to deal with migraines. His Excellency is back to work, praise God!

Thanks for reminding me! Being a new Catholic, I still need to get our calendar figured out. I'm so new that I still have my Confirmation candle, but I need to remember to get more candles blessed.
