Why in the hell did Stephen Paddock own a home in Mesquite, Nevada and another in Mesquite, Texas?! What does that mean?

Why would own a home in two cities that have the same name?! Is this not freaking obvious about it being weird? It's all in everyone's face.

I want to know what this guy's deal was that a successful accountant
with multiple homes and a very rich lifestyle, what turns such a guy
around to destroy his life by killing all those people strangers to him
and ending his life?!

It is almost as if he was possessed by a demon or some form of
programming that turned him into an autonomous, mindless killing robot.

Could it be . . . . ?
