Beyond that, mainstream media talking heads have always been heartless ghouls seeking only to advance their careers and accumulate wealth and fame. Few powerful or famous people these days possess much of a conscience, which is in turn derivative of the masses. How many Americans shed tears for Rwandans, Bosnians or Syrians as their worlds were annihilated live on national TV? First World peoples who have never experienced war in their own streets and neighborhoods can only weep so many tears before getting back to what really matters, like watching sports, porn, television series and shoving Big Macs down their throats.

They have to do this because they consider it "their job" to "convince the American people" that we need to get involved in this war. I heard over and over today how only 26% of Americans want "strong action" on Ukraine--and sigh, sigh, that's a shame.

This post makes no sense, and what part of being warned about this 10 years ago did you not understand? 8 years ago we saw the warning show it's head, so if you messed up heeding the first warning then the 2014 Crimea actions should have woke you up to prepare for Russias inevitable acts to revisit and bring back Soviet states and territories. 8-10 years to prepare for this, enough time to get moles in the Kremlin and hit teams inside Moscow and sabotage agents all over Russia.

I’m curious about how the people in the Ukraine are reacting to the Russian invasion.

In one report a man had just been given a rifle but he had no experience in how to use it.

It might have been a good idea for the Ukraine a few years ago to form and train a militia just in case Russia ever decided to invade. If it was large enough it might have been useful as a resistance movement once the Russians took over. It might have been able to work at being a cause of attrition that would have eventually forced the Russians to leave.
