Zone1 Does "G-d" have a name?

Recognizing reality is not whining.

If you have left your Socratic cave, make a splash. and stop bragging about it.
Did you really need someone to tell you that people can and do evolve if they so choose? I have seen dogs, rats, swine, parasites, bottom feeders, wolves, creepy things that creep, etc., evolve into rational living human beings.

Haven't you?

Try to make that great leap of intelligence to recognize what's written in scripture with realty. Or stop whining about it being irrational superstitious crap. Pssst! If you were trying to appear really smart, it isn't working.

His name appeared some 7,000 times in the Hebrew (Old Testament) portion of the Judeo-Christian that he inspired dozens of men to write. It's written with four Hebrew letters YHWH known as the Tetragrammaton.

The most commonly accepted English pronunciation of the Divine name is JEHOVAH.

Same Prehistoric Conqueror

Sounds a lot like "Jove," doesn't it? And Jupiter sounds like "Jew Pater."

Jove, was pronounced "Yo way." In other words, Yahweh.

It all means "running away," both originally from a Mongol invasion of the Caucasus, and its subsequent form of escapism.

Wrong. The name Jehovah means "He causes to become."

“Jehovah” (Heb., יהוה, YHWH), God’s personal name, first occurs in Ge 2:4. The divine name is a verb, the causative form, the imperfect state, of the Hebrew verb הוה (ha·wahʹ, “to become”). Therefore, the divine name means “He Causes to Become.” This reveals Jehovah as the One who, with progressive action, causes himself to become the Fulfiller of promises, the One who always brings his purposes to realization. See Ge 2:4 ftn, “Jehovah”; App 3C. Compare Ex 3:14 ftn."

YHWH represents a verb form, not a noun.

So what? The fact remains YHWH is the Divine name of Almighty God. The most commonly accepted English translation of the Divine name is JEHOVAH.

In Judaism God does not have a name. The terms used Elohim and Adonai refer to different aspects of Gods nature. Elohim is used to describe an omnipotent God. Adonai refers to God the loving father of humanity. These are not to be defined as names.

Yehova is a distortion of Adonai a poor translation

Who said anything about Judaism? Judaism is nothing more than a set of religious movements followed by Jews. The Bible is my authority, not the Jews.

Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures aka Old Testament, God's personal name in the form of the Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ (four Hebrew letters YHWH read from left to right) appears some 7,000 times.

The terms Elohim and Adonai are nothing more than titles. The personal name of the Almighty is Jehovah in English.

The moniker 'God' works for me but words are hardly capable of describing an omnipotence which is really the belief in a higher power than humans. This has mostly resulted in masses of humans having a basic understanding and trust of each other regardless of family or tribe.

Also, science tells us that the first living cell did not come from some pond soup. We cannot even create one living cell even when given all the parts. This seems to uphold an over-arching omnipotence, a Creator. etc.

Right to left for Hebrew

no its not, monotheism from antiquity is - all are equal (who reside in the heavens) - "god" represents that collective.

I am beginning to understand your dilemma and your incoherent ramblings. Some virulent poison is in your mind. It seems to me that you have mistaken a self negating multiplicity for the living God who is one, not a collective.

Do yourself a favor. Shut up and go back to the drawing board. You screwed up. Is that too hard to believe?

Who do you think wrote the Bible if not highly intelligent, educated, dedicated, and faithful Jews?

Damn.

Oy! Thanks for the info. I guess I should say a few our fodders, and then worship a cracker for spiritual life.

I'm sure that openly and brazenly sinning should convince God that I am sincerely sorry for my sins. Well, it may not convince God, I heard that he is very smart, but at least it will be good enough for Torquemada.

what desert dwellers have mistaken for monotheism is in fact monarchism, a hierarchy and solitary figure they worship -

entirely void of the 1st century teachings including by the itinerant the goal of unanimity that exists in the heavens as the means for its admission as the triumph over evil.

liberation theology, self determination what jesus was crucified for and those others who gave their lives freely than live in the servitude and denial of judaism - false commandments et al.
