The Department of Defense on Sunday urged its employees to “pause any response” to an email that the Office of Personnel Management sent on Saturday, joining other federal agencies that made the same move.

The OPM email was sent to federal employees, essentially demanding recipients to detail five of their accomplishments for the week by Monday night. Musk noted on X that those who didn’t reply would be terminated.

“The Department of Defense is responsible for reviewing the performance of its personnel and it will conduct any review in accordance with its own procedures,” a statement from Darin Selnick, who is Performing the Duties of Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, said. “When and if required, the Department will coordinate responses to the email you have received from OPM.”

Further proof that Trump and Musk have no idea what they’re doing.

Careful or Trump will threaten the DoD's funding. LOL

Rumor is that Tulsa gabbard handed down that order also.
The whole cabinet is tired of Musk and they want him out of the way.
I bet it was Trumps doing, but afraid to tell Elon himself.

How dare he ask that they show they have done their jobs. Oh the humanity. Actually working is just not the leftist way.

Fascist leaderrs like these always fight each other for space and dominance.

Who?

Seems even Trump has said "never mind".

The Trump administration on Monday appeared to be quickly retreating from Elon Musk’s demand that all federal workers send an email by the end of the day highlighting their achievements or resign.

Trump administration backtracks from latest Musk storm

"President Donald Trump is supporting Elon Musk's demand that federal employees summarize their recent accomplishments2. Trump defended Musk's actions, stating that the goal is to determine if employees are actually working. However, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) clarified that compliance with Musk's demand is voluntary1. This has led to varying advice for federal employees, with some being told to respond, others being told it is optional, and some being directed not to answer at all1."

Typical MAGA screw up.

Secret Service Secret Service staffers were directed to submit a form response that states in part, “This week I accomplished: 100% of the tasks and duties required of me by my position description” and “100% of the work product that my manager and I have agreed to.”

"Write and essay in a page or less on what you did today".

If you want to of course. It's not required and there will be no grade.
