If Medicare ends or my financial help with it, then I would be dead. I am grateful they are basically keeping me alive. When I get a kidney I won't have to do dialysis anymore. The anti-rejection meds have their own drawbacks but I would at least like to try and see how that goes.

May I say that Nixon is the one who decided Dialysis patients could get Medicare in 1972. I'm just grateful there is dialysis and I receive help to pay for it.

Dialysis is $10,200 a day. Medicare pays a small portion. The remainder (for me) is now picked by a financial program. So yes I do not pay for it. But then you have all the surgeries on my arm to keep my access open and the same applies. It's not the medical. it's more the cost of living and my rent went up $200 and I could go on about how much things cost now. I don't want to bore you with all that. I'm just saying its hard living on disability.

Can you get a kidney transplant? I just talked to someone who got one. They don't remove your kidney, they leave it alone and add a third kidney under your abdomen, which leaves a bulge in your stomach.

I am on the list but "frozen" because I just had a mastectomy. You have to be fully healed and ready for surgery. True, they leave your nonworking kidney in there and just add the donor one. I've watch a lot of youtube videos and to see the progression of having a working kidney is amazing.

Just a point. There are politicians and elites who want changes to medical for people. Limits on medical care. And people automatically think its Republicans'. It is not. Progs are also involved in this. President Obama made at least two comments on medical care. Limits of up to two million dollars a person in their life was one of them. And take the pain pill the other. The government knows there is an issue with the costs. Medicare and Medicaid are about two trillion dollars a year total now just from the Federal Government. Good intentions do not stop corruption, graft, stealing and other abuses.

Speaking of stealing, Medicare reported a loss of One Billion dollars in fraud waste that was reported for braces, such as knee and back. One doctor ordered 20,000 braces and never saw any patients. There are many types of fraud and durable medical equipment (such as wheel chairs, walkers and so on) are high on the list of doctors ordering these devices, getting paid but never saw any patients.

I'm not sure how this works but all the money being sent to Ukraine ($90 Billion so far), is that from a separate from the money keeping dialysis patients alive?
