Do you regret voting for Trump? A Sincere Perspective

A leftist asked me earlier if I regretted voting for Trump. In some ways I do, in some ways I don't. But that was a choice I made that I can't back out of now. It is moot to have regret now.

But since we're on the topic of regret, did any of you on the left feel any remorse for allowing your party to steer a cognitively suspect old man around and parade him about as perfectly fit and compos mentis? Did you regret wilfully ignoring the exploitation of an elderly man with no mental faculties by a group of handlers who, for all intents and purposes, ran the country while essentially hiding him on the shelf to slowly expire?

Do you regret being a party to that? Answer truthfully. If your politics are so extreme that you would do that to someone, or vote for that someone with that kind of foreknowledge, then you need to do some self-introspection. What they did to Biden was wrong on a number of levels. If your politics are so extreme that you were willing to vote for and put up with that behavior, it's time you reassessed who you are and what your values are.

Trump is by far not perfect, and in some ways, he's a vulgar, vengeful, ill-tempered, and impulsive man. My regret is that we couldn't have an upstanding man with the same charisma run in his place on the Republican side the last three years. But it is what it is. My regret is putting him before God and damaging cherished relationships because of it. My regret is casting my pearls (values) before swine, and having been rended by them.

But regret? Regret is pointless. The gamble has been taken and the result has been meted out.
Personality flaws? The left relies on freaking impressions generated by the media to confuse strong leadership with impulsiveness and vulgarity when we finally have a president with the balls to close the borders, take on unfair trade practices and attempted to end a war that happened under a weak democrat administration. Instead of looking forward to a strong president who puts America first, the sissie left prefers to weep and whine about perceived character flaws. No wonder they can't tell the difference between a man and a woman

The whiny leaderless democrat party that impeached Trump based on fake evidence, invaded his home with a bogus warrant that could have been applied to Biden, tried to put him in prison on frivolous complicated technical charges and finally set him up for two assassination attempts now calls Trump "vindictive"? It ain't true but who wouldn't be vindictive under these circumstances?

Don't know where to put this so they won't move. Delete. Hide or other.

So sad. Everyday, everywhere.

I’m not here to explain the obvious to those who haven’t the intellectual capacity to figure it out themselves. Try breathing into a paper bag for a minute or so.
Again. You are overwhelmed because you dont know the answers. The fact is Donald has never done anything that requires complexity.

Cutting taxes is simple. He did that.
Executive orders are simple, he is doing that.

Bills and laws are complex, he failed at that.
Negotiating healthcare improvements is complex, he failed at that.
Infrastructure is complex, he failed at that.

Trade and the economy are complex. He is failing at that

Get a life, kid.

These posters use anything bash Trump. Markets look ahead 6 mo. When President Trump won in 2024 markets went up. SheeatyGater posts over and over using some magic clock starting midnight 20JAN2025 (as his masters instruct him too) markets crashing $8T!

Same for spending. Congress put out another CRA that is basically DEM budget to get to OCT but this is all Trumps fault?

I do not regret voting for Donald Trump! I am not a moron so I did not vote for him.

  • Stock market down $8 Trillion
  • The US Dollar index is down over 9%... that's cash burning
  • GDP dropped in Q1
  • Consumer confidence is at a 70-year low
  • Job concern as high as '09 recession levels
  • Huge cutback in companies' capital spending
  • New factory orders have collapsed
  • Bottom fell out of earning expectations
  • Prices already increasing
  • Trucking orders down
  • Container rates falling
Trump 2.0 is an utter disaster

You might not be a moron but you certainly are a useful idiot.

Nothing is liquid until you spend it. That makes no sense. Regardless the cut in orders and the lack of economic activity will result in SPENDING cuts by consumers. Also where do you think consumers get there spending money? That's right.. Economic activity, investment activities and borrowing against appreciated assets. All of which are under historic pressure.
so how is it a loss? explain how any of it was a loss? The only losers were those who panicked and sold stock when it was down. that's plain ass stupid. All stocks bounce down and up based on many things. So you inaccurately said what you said.

What you don't know either, is that some people bought when the stocks were low and increased their stock portfolios. So you know absolutely nothing about what was lost.

again, since the stock market is not liquid, it did not lose 8 trillion. pure politics with intentions of fear mongering stupid people like yourself.

Would you risk the economy and destroy $8 Trillion without guaranteed victory? We pissed everyone off in the world which basically makes us weak, not strong. I mean we had a free trade agreement with South Korea, our ally, and Japan, our ally and they are now conspiring against us with China. Is that really how you would risk everything???
again, no one lost 8 trillion. it wasn't liquid. people actually made money during it all. you know that right?

The blue suit thing comes to mind, the media made a big deal about it when in reality about half of the men at the funeral wore blue suits. They just cropped the picture to not show that and tried to make it a thing. It’s impossible to hate the media enough.

Its not difficult to fool the useful idiots.

Some of my best teachers, coaches and bosses were not Mr. Rodgers. They were tough, demanding, sometimes vulgar. But I learned a lot from them, I respected them and they shaped me for my future success. I don't understand this preoccupation with Donald Trump's PERSONALITY. We did not elect a drinking buddy. We elected someone with the guts to take on the really tough problems that Presidents before him kicked down the road to the next guy.

Are you insane? I bought a beach house with cash last year I earned from liquidating investments. I won’t be buying a major purchase with this years losses. That’s a lot less GDP from folks like me. Economy is toast.

everyone does. but you have to sell it. stocks in the market aren't liquid. so all it is is price moving up and down. People bought and that drove down the price. They didn't lose money, they bought high. the stock price dropped due to those sell offs. anyone who sold after the drop are fking stupid.

Why is the market down? Because economic activity is plummeting. What now genius? When the layoffs hit I’m sure that will just be a correction of over employed folks.

no one knows. No one. Again, stocks move continuously up and down every minute, second of a day. You want to know why? hahahaahahahahahahahaha

So because you sold in a panic, the economy is toast? Looks fine to me and the long term outlook when we get more favorable terms with our 75 trading partners is fantastic. :113:
