Do you keep a pet bird in a cage?

If so, how the **** do you manage to look at it everyday and not feel like a sadistic asshole?

The bird is supposed to be outside flying around and having sex.

Got a finch, maybe 5 years old now. No I don't feel guilty at all. But then, sex with the bird is a little tricky.

mine free fly during the day and crash in here at night.
It even has a mist system and it's own septic tank.
