Ok, since I'm telling the truth and acting "almost" normal, I take blood pressure meds and that is all. I'm 63 so I guess I'm not doing to bad.

It's in health and lifestyle.
People are not forced to answer, but, if they are OK with sharing that's fine.
They can also just say yes or no.

Since it's option, I don't see a problem with it.
Your political affiliation and who you vote for is very personal to some people as well.
Why would anybody with an common sense and common decency go around asking strangers what medications they take? What is wrong with you? Why are your so interested in people's personal lives? If people voluntarily put out this information, that is one thing. But when someone is so curious about it as to start a thread on it, that's another. Get a life.

not sure why it bothers you Esmeralda - I see a lot of personal questions being asked on here....

thanks for your input (?)

No, I take nothing. I eat good and stay physical so no meds for me. I don't trust doctors any more than I trust lawyers or politicians, the one time I let one prescribe stuff for me it was a joke, he was just lining his pockets.

The fad for hormone replacement, lower cholesterol, mood stabilizers, etc. are making big pharma ungodly wealthy. We are the drug capital of the world, legal and no so legal. Why so many Americans need to be so doped up is a mystery.

You can get a Dr. to give you pretty much any kind of medication you want.....
It's not hard, and, unless you have something totally verifiable by a blood test, it's all a guessing game.
You know your own body better than any Dr. does.
I didn't ask for jack shit, I just went in for a physical and left with three prescriptions.

I was talking more about myself....
I'd love a cure all drug, but have found out that really I'm happiest when I'm drug and alcohol free.
If life got unbearable I think my best option would be to run away..

I'll tell you what happened. She got all of us together and paid us 50 dollars each to post this crap we posted, because she said It would make you start yer . early and we would all laugh.

I always was a whore.

.... people get upset about some weird things .... I don't even think it's the question .... I think it's the OP

trust me I am used to it! And I'm not just talking about here!!!!

I take lisinopril for my blood pressure.

....and I thank usmessageboard for the way it keeps me on my program. Within minutes of reading the crap people post, I reach for the pills almost instinctively.

BP meds are pretty common for most people over 50 or 55 I've found.

My BP used to be 110/50 always
It's about 120/70 now so I'm almost at the "norm" which might be "high" for me actually.
But Dr. never said I needed BP pills.

my husband used to take cholesterol meds but he could not stand the side effects, so, we just monitor it and try to control it with diet.

Atenonol - to treat cardiac dysrhythmia and hypertension.
Sounds worse than what it is.
I have PAC...Premature Atrial Contractions, which is mostly harmless. My heartbeat will be "out of step" 50 times a day or more without the medicine. Which is annoying as hell. It is not a serious condition, but can cause undo stress and anxiety because our brains are hardwired to be alerted by anything heart related.

My Dr. Told me that Atenolol made your boner flop.

I have a "bundle branch block" but my cardiologist said it's just something i have to live with.
They can not read an EKG on me because of it.

Many Beta Blockers can do that. Particularly some of the older strains, which Atenolol is.
It has not had that effect on me thankfully...I still have the morning "plank pee" like most men. :D
(too much information eh?)

Nope, I don't take any medications. I hate taking medicine. I only take medicine if I'm sick, which is quite rare, maybe like once or twice a year at most. Thankfully, I'm quite healthy.

Have you been tested? That could mean you have heart disease.

Yes definitely.
I had a very serious condition called Aortic Aneurysm, diagnosed when I was only 39. It was 6.8, but at 39 that was a ticking time bomb and virtual guarantee of open heart later in life.
.it simply reversed. It now measures 4.6.
A reversal does happen, but very rare and usually does not stay. It has been 4.6 for 2 years now, my cardiologist believes it will hold...that I am one of the ultra lucky people where the condition for unknown reasons just flat out fixes itself.
I am not a crying man. Something REALLY big has to happen for me to even get a lump in my throat...but when I got to my car that day after seeing the xray myself...I admit I had a couple tears. Great day!
