If you do don't worry, ALEC is anxious to cure and re-educate you. They have many front groups out there with benign, inclusive sounding names encouraging you to believe the fewer of "those other guys" that vote the better for all of "us". Either that or make you a good citizen consumer, apathetic, and a shopping fool, buying the goods they produced wherever they moved your factories, because they could, they wrote those laws too. In this Primary time period they're really working on the voter suppression techniques they've been devising for decades, just waiting to be unhindered by that pesky voters rights act.. And by the way, they want to suppress all voters, Republicans as well as Democrats. Just ask many Republican residents of Maricopa County in Arizona. If you watch the public hearings on YouTube you'll see Republicans ready to chew nails.
You do know what ALEC is, right? The American Legislative Exchange Council is a Corporation Bill Mill that meets with State legislators (overwhelmingly Republican) to write "model bills." The Legislators then present to their State Governments. These ALEC bills, which largely benefit the organization’s corporate members, have been introduced in legislatures in every state—but without disclosing to the public that corporations previously drafted or voted on them through ALEC. Participating legislators, overwhelmingly conservative Republicans, bring those proposals home and introduce them in statehouses across the land as their own brilliant ideas and important public policy innovations—without disclosing that corporations crafted and voted on the bills. ALEC boasts that it has over 1,000 of these bills introduced by legislative members every year, with one in every five of them enacted into law. Bills imposing throttling regulations on Unions, environmental protection measures, voters rights, laws governing food and drug safety. Imagine any measure that might protect a citizen from any act of any Corporation and you'll still miss most of the concerns of ALEC. The bills that scare me the most are the ones legitimizing private online Education. I wouldn't want corporations backed by the Koch Bros. having my kids sitting in front of a computer screen for several hours a day from K to 12, my god, what kind of citizens would America have after a few decades of that. And yet this type of Bill has passed in most States I think.

The "Voucher" Strategy and Requiring Tax Subsidies for Private For-Profit Schools
For almost 20 years, a top priority item for ALEC has been the privatization of public schools through school vouchers. Like many ALEC efforts, this one was first implemented in Wisconsin. ALEC has dozens of bills related to this topic, along with books and analysis. in 1993, ALEC gave its first "Adam Smith Free Enterprise Award" to school privatization advocate and funder Richard DeVos. In the early 1990s, under the leadership of longtime ALEC member Tommy Thompson, Wisconsin was the first state in the nation to implement a voucher program using public funds to send children to private schools. This experiment was limited to low-income students in the Milwaukee School District. Although recent tests have revealed that voucher students performed worse in math and reading than public school students, ideological proponents of privatization are nonetheless pushing to expand the Milwaukee program to other areas of the state, as well as to higher-income families.
Tracking the ALEC school voucher agenda, Governor Walker's 2011 Wisconsin budget expanded voucher schools throughout Milwaukee County and to the Racine school district, lifted the cap on participation, and increased income eligibility to 300% of the federal poverty level. Other ALEC-originated school choice bills are also in the works for Wisconsin, including the Charter School Reform Bill (AB 51-SB 22) and the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (AB 94).
They want to control the development of your children into good little obedient consumer citizen robots, and they want you to pay for the process!
