Have an alcoholic drink about once a month. Sometimes will have two a month

Generally no. Maybe a cocktail or a glass of champagne at an event once in a blue moon. Alcohol has never really been my thing.....probably because for so many people in my family it has been their first and only love in life.

Nope. I haven't had a drop of alcohol since November 2003. As I've said before, that decision is tied for 2nd best decision I ever made.

Just curious, nothing more. Do you believe drinking at all, is a sin?

Dang, you put me on the spot.

I wouldn't say that drinking in and itself is a sin. As we know, the bible says that drunkenness is a sin, and of course it's possible to drink and not get drunk. HOWEVER, (here's the controversial part where I'll probably catch a lot of flak) I do strongly believe that Christians shouldn't drink at all. I have many reasons for that... I don't want to write a whole essay here. But I've put a lot of thought into this, and long story short, I believe that as it says in 1 Cor 10:23, "All things are permissible, not all things are beneficial."

There's a lot more I could say about this, but it's a topic that could be a thread of its own.

I agree with that view. To me there are no redeeming qualities.
I only drink about an ounce of wine for the PASSOVER. That's it

By today's definition, both my parents were "alcoholics." Functioning well, but depending on a steady flow of beer and later mixed drinks to get through the day. All four of my siblings have been considered alcoholics at various times in their lives. Now, my one brother will sometimes have a glass of wine; that's it.

I got drunk for the last time in 1973, and simply decided I never would that again, and I haven't. I have a drink a couple times a year, when it would be awkward not to.

I seriously do not see the point. I have NEVER had the thought that "I need a drink." It was a common statement in my house when I was growing up.

I grew up in a tavern my parents owned. Yes, I still drink. Especially Friday night when friends and family get together.
