You post means that you are all for this:

I don't know the details of the man and as such, I cannot comment on good or bad. I do know that someone that has been here for 19 years, has a wife and 2 childrend, and all he has in his record is one trespassing accusation, cannot be a person that has done bad things.
Nonetheless, he has broken the law and he does need to have his day in court where a judge will decide (based on all the evidence), whether this man is to be deported or given a chance to earn legal status.
There has never been a compromise with Trump because with him it has always been "My way or the Highway". No compromise is EVER possible with that kind of mentality.
Nonetheless, you want an example? Here you go.
Having said that, in February 2024, a committee of 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats (who were chosen by each party to come up with a border bill), came up with a border bill that leant heavily in favor of what the Republicans had been asking for, for 2 years. The bill was supported by the Senate Chief (McConnell). When the compromise was announced, Trump autormatically axed it (he wanted the illegal alien problem not solved until November as he was using it to get elected).
You are playing on people's heart-strings.No, he wants to be with his wife and kids, no matter what. Thatis what a loving husband does.He sacrifices himself for those he loves. You would not do that?
Covid lock downs taught us a different lesson. There are two categories of workers, essential and nonessential. Every essential job in this country should be held by citizens. It is less a matter of skills and more matter of reassessing the value of labor. If someone can do their job from home, the same job can be done cheaper in another country. Whereas essential workers must do the work here, which is why they should be done by citizens.I tend to believe that if Americans want to be paid better, they should get skills that are worth more to employers.
Unemployment is at extremely low levels and has been for years. There just aren’t many people out there who can’t find a job because all the “illegals” took them.
If you wanted a European culture, then your ancestors should have stayed in Europe.
This the Americans, so you should be open to native cultures.
Essential workers should be paid a living wage. Good pay, benefits, healthcare..etc.Covid lock downs taught us a different lesson. There are two categories of workers, essential and nonessential. It would be extremely difficult for the family to move, learn a new language, and live under a US puppet dictatorship.
Which of those attempts at immigration reform had amnesty and a path to citizenship for someone like the man in the OP?
I’m seeing all emotion from your side.Seems to me the country needs guys like this working in our economy and making the country work.Ah yes, amnesty. Democrats open the border and encourage millions of illegals to enter the country and then cry that they should be given amnesty and then ultimately citizenship and then the right to vote. It is all political. Democratic politicians couldn’t care less about these immigrants, they just want power and they play on the average Democrat’s tendency to be emotional, not practical. How can you not see this?

I believe that Trump is going to ruin our nation and as such, I do "struggle" because I have a heart and I care.
Evidently you don't.
Meaning that if you were from another country and you (and your family) was starving and at risk of dying you would not even try to come to the U.S. to survive?
and you have no heart for those that do try?
Some people, Americans included, are simply mentally incapable of doing more skilled jobs. They may can dig ditches, but can’t read or write. Why should their ditch digging jobs be filled by illegals from other countries, forcing them to go on government benefits? If we didn’t have enough ditch diggers due to no illegal immigration, you would be amazed at how many Americans would come out of the woodwork to fill those jobs, particularly if salaries increased due to low labor supply. Allowing, and even incentivizing, people from other countries to come here illegally and not pay federal income taxes is not the answer. Neither is rewarding those that have done so with amnesty and potential citizenship.
Strawman argument.Yeah, so let’s just allow another 10+million to come into our country, every year. That should solve everything. Us brilliant Americans can utilize our superior intellect to become doctors and lawyers and leave the burger flipping to those people from other, less fortunate, countries.
Illegals and even asylum seekers are a net loss to our country. I know you lefties like to spin that, but that is the hard truth.
Please don't bring Jesus Christ into this...
This against Jesus's teachings... This is against the Bible,... At least own that are against Christ on this one.
In the Old Testament, God's people are commanded: 'Don’t mistreat any foreigners who live in your land. Instead, treat them as well as you treat citizens and love them as much as you love yourself. Remember, you were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God' (Leviticus 19:33-34).
Matthew 25:31-46, highlights our responsibility to care for the 'stranger' and the displaced around us. 'Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me,' says Jesus.
I wouldn't bring up Jesus in this one... You have told Jesus to fuck off on this one..
What supports your contention that there’s millions of Americans waiting to work the jobs currently held by illegal immigrants?
Unemployment has been low for years. We have routinely been having more job openings than people looking for jobs.
Where are these people?
You should really get a grip.Strawman argument.
It’s fascinating to watch someone like you shit on the American people. You really do embrace the soft bigotry of low expectations.
If they wants jobs, they’d have jobs. Deporting illegal immigrants doesn’t change that.Take a drive through the projects in your area. You will find many of them. Just because they aren’t (really) looking for work doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be.
