Do you collect anything?

I like shot-glasses; but not so much shot glasses which say where they are from. I like my glasses to have a 'story'. Most of the shotglasses I have - only about 10-20 really, are glasses I've toasted with from my travels/duty assignments.

Have anything neat;something which 'means something' to you, that you collect?

I collect crosses/cricifix necklaces. Books as well. Do clothes/ handbags/shoes count??

As far as nik naks go Im too much of a neat freak to collect porcelain statues or commemorative plates. I like simplicity.

Harry Potter stuff-- like that is a big surprise to anyone here...but not just anything HP...mostly things like the British hardcover versions of the books, items (when i can afford to) from the NobleCollection.com, (If anyone wants to ever get me and Tim a present for any occasion, we want the Final Challenge chess set...only retails for $395!), and bits and baubles that are only sold in the UK, which I usually locate on eBay, and typically don't pay more than $20 for, depending on the item and how bad I want it... the last HP thing I did buy that cost over $100, technically, was my tattoo of Fawkes, $120. Tim's mom got me the replica of Hermione's wand last Christmas.

I also collect Jeff Gordon memorabilia, but I am pretty picky with that stuff. It can't be just anything JG...

Books (and pictures) about Westminster Abbey, and about some of the older Abbots.

Candles. Lots and lots of candles. Tons of candles. Did I mention lots of candles? I think we could survive a month long black out with round-the-clock candlelight and still have more candles to use. And of course candle holders of all types.

My husband collects books and films about Sherlock Holmes.

Used to Collect Comic Books. I dont really care about buying them now so i just read them in the store.

I guess i do collect books though cause i have tons.

Friends. (Yes, I know that was sickeningly saccharine!)

Books, what I consider to be classics... Laura Ingalls Wilder, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, L'Engle, stuff I'd like my kids to be reading instead of the things they assign in school (like A Boy Called It )

Also, refrigerator magnets from places I have been, like Philly, Lake Superior, etc. Hey, I need something to hold up all those school papers!

Reading ghost stories got me reinterested in religion. There are just too many ghost stories for there to no be something to it. And often when it came down to it, jesus was the only way people could get rid of harmful spirits. It's funny how many people can believe in ghosts, spirits, astral projection, other dimensions and all that and then turn around and call stories about jesus and god "preposterous dogma".

Precious Moments had an ornament series out at Christmas that was always hard to find, even the stores didn't always know what I was talking about.

Anyway, I bought one every Christmas starting in the year my daughter was born. Made it to 14 I think, before they stopped that series. Pissed me off!
