I find it incredible that two guys worth billions, one the richest guy in the world, both with far better selfish things they /could/ be doing, are instead busting a nut working their asses off, trying to make this country a better, proper place because they realize that no elected career politician can be trusted to get it done.

The thing is that's how the system started. Men of means were the Founding Fathers, they donated their time and efforts to the nation for the greater good.

Also the concept of the civil servant used to be just that. Now government workers consider themselves part of some new nobility.

Are there any Musk haters out there who would like to state what they believe motivates Elon Musk? Is it money? Is it power? Is it the attention? Is it something else? Let's see if anyone of you can clearly state WHY you hate him, WHEN you discovered you hated him and WHAT you believe motivates him. And anything else you would care to add.

To start the discussion, I will offer my opinion FWIW. I think Elon recognizes what an incredible point in American history this is. He also recognizes what a truly remarkable man Donald Trump is. By the sheer force of his will, he reshaped the aimless and feckless GOP and has all but rendered the Democratic Party helpless. When he survived the assassination attempt in Butler Pa by literally a fraction of an inch, that was the epiphany moment for Elon. "This man is history in the making and by God I am going to help him make it!".

So what say you, besides of course your silly "funny" emojis that I love to collect. Anything? Anything at all? Let's see.

The G whatever plates, the fact they make more now than the average worker, the fact they feel so slighted by having to justify their work, the fact that they are one of the few groups that still get pensions, the fact that they create massive voting blocs in local governments, the very governments they work for and that are supposed to be guardians of the people, not beholden to the employees that got them elected.

Even FDR thought civil service unions were a terrible idea. and now we see why.

do federal workers get treated better by their bosses than private work places?....if there is a safety issue do they take care of it without any outside people getting involved?.....

They have to be begged to go back to work in the office 5 days a week, so yes they do get treated better seemingly.

In any event this is just a distraction from the main issue. Most government jobs come with ZERO accountability.
