American success has demonstrated well the evolution of political theory and penchant for simplicity

ockham's razor: consider the time/era of ben franklin and the central role he played in orchestrating the birth of a nation,

have we moved/evolved beyond just the two parties we have now ?

the Right could use a few more ... divide those dolts up as much as possible and make them more irrelevant than they are now.

The coup d'état perpetrated by the two dominant parties in dividing America between them has certainly gone too far.

Considering that the largest voting bloc describes themselves as Moderates/Independents and neither party really identifies with this group. This makes that group very under-represented and very much so. So yeah, they need representation even more than the fringe groups that control Washington. It's too bad that it's so hard to get third parties on ballots, they have to jump through hoops. Regarding their financing, what special interests groups have interest in funding a group make up of primarily your average American?

I think the tea party should start a 3rd party. That would be great for America.
Looks like they lost in Congress again...It's pretty bad when the moderate GOP has an easier time dealing with Democrats than Tea Farty conservatives..

Your post has nothing at all to do with Occam's razor.

Non sequitur.

As for multiple parties, you only have to look at those countries which have multiple parties to see just how much more dysfunctional such a system is.

A multi-party system allows fringe elements to hold the entire country hostage.

We have 30 or 40 political parties. People don't generally vote for them in national elections because they don't want to throw their vote away. Some do for the moral high ground though.

I think we need more than the current one party we have now.
Two parties would be good, three would be even better.
