Well, I'm going to have to go with the MAGAs on this one. I live outside of Portland.

There is a very popular candy store in Portland called Rocket Fizz. I've taken my kids there many times.

It's owned by two lesbians.

Last year, I took my oldest daughter there and we were discussing with the owners the fact so many businesses had fled Portland after the Floyd riots five years previous.

During those riots, someone threw a Molotov cocktail into the Portland Target department store.

The Target had decided to close up shop not long before my daughter and I visited Rocket Fizz, and I was telling my daughter we should go there after the candy store to see if there were any good deals as I read everything was 90 percent off.

The owners of the candy store told us the only stuff left was like shampoo and I forget what other items, but nothing worth troubling ourselves over.

Then they started complaining about how many businesses were gone because of property crime (shoplifting, vandalism, etc). They said they were one of the last holdouts.

Suddenly, my daughter asked what was going to replace Target.

Without a moment's hesitation, I said, "A police station!"

Now, you would expect a normal business owner who had just been complaining about all the crime and the firebombing of Target would appreciate my joke.

Nope.

Daggers. They stared at me with daggers.

And that's the problem with liberals and the problem with Portland. They live in a bizarre mindset which fails to experience the cognitive dissonance of being against the police and having their very livelihood jeopardized by criminals.

The local motto is, "Keep Portland Weird". It's on bumper stickers. murals everywhere you go, T-shirts, etc.

That says it all.

I once saw a bumper sticker that said, "Make Portland Normal".

My kind of guy.

We all know how it is going to work out. But it is important that it work out that way without any interference from Trump. No National Guard, let the buildings be looted and burned. No cutting off funds, even though we know it is good money down a rathole.

Trump should offer help in the forms of consultants and federal prosecutions when needed to help with the overflow. If Mamdani turns the help down, that's on him.

New York must learn the right lesson from this misadventure.

Not to mention the fact that they're going to starve due to food shortages but what about free rent? Well what's going to happen when landlords aren't profiting off of their property anymore? They're probably going to sell off their property just so they can have the funds to survive as this is New York so they probably don't have any other jobs.


That puts many people out on the street and homeless. No food, no shelter. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but I think I pretty much got it all figured out much faster than them and this is coming from somebody who received special education as a child.



Ah well, I guess that some people just have to learn their lesson the hard way. If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. RIP NYC. It was nice knowing you.
