Hello, y'all probably heard of Temu. My mother bought me shoes twice from Temu. First time, shoes didn't last a week. A few days ago, shoes from Temu, known for products that are made in Uyghur concentration camps arrived and they are awful. The insoles came out easily. Now I always check for quality. Picture of shoes with insoles pulled out.

The green stuff had what I can say, toxic. It gave me blisters. I don't get blisters from anything unless something is very toxic. That isn't all with Temu. My mother bought security cameras and electronics from them can burn down the house. I warned her not to buy shit from Temu due to the ethical, quality, and safety. She didn't listen.

Had Temu existed in the 1940's they'd have marketed Auschwitz soap and bath products, along with custom lampshades~

.

Their ads have always looked too tacky, so I never bothered.

They also hijack searches. I search for a specific company by their name, and the first result that comes up is Temu. Nothing at all like the company name I'm searching for.

I’ve bought things from them. The trick is to get bulk disposable crap, like rags and kitchen sponges.

Their rags must be of awful quality. I have quality rags that are older than me. Never need another. Those soft cotton rags I got have been around for decades.

Damn, I went there and just bought one of these:

Pretty much. The bulk scrubbing sponges are good enough, though. Same shit as the dollar store, but much cheaper.

I have bought a lot from them. Mostly beads to make jewelry. I did purchase clothes but hate the material they use. Electronics? Nope. Rings and earrings, etc? Yep. You get what you pay for.

I'll stick to Amazon. And Walmart. Can't get out like I used to.

you made me ask AI.........yep they buy low end junk and sell it

Temu is an online marketplace, primarily known for offering a wide variety of consumer goods at heavily discounted prices, with most items shipped directly from China. Here's a concise overview based on the latest information:

Key Points about Temu:
  • Ownership: Operated by PDD Holdings, a company owned by Colin Huang, which also owns Pinduoduo, a popular e-commerce platform in China. In the U.S., Temu is under Whaleco, Inc., a subsidiary of PDD Holdings.

Never buy cheap Chinese shoes at all. They're all designed to make a profit. And probably the school are made in Zhejiang, rather than Xinjiang, Zhejiang is the center of shoe making in China.

problem is it's very hard to find any shoes not made in china, vietnam today

even classic doc marten started making their shoes in those places, now they have since started making some classic shoes back in the UK for double the price and I'd pay for double the quality, likely 4x the quality from somebody not 10 who actually cares
