Do ‘Independents’ of today tend to ‘lean’ left / Democrat? If so, why do they?

I don't always vote for a Republican. But, with the Democrats veering hard left, it makes for a lot less democrats I would vote for. If Manchin runs, I would probably vote for him.
Manchin would never win a dem primary for POTUS .. unless he showed up to the debates wearing a dress .

I know those here who proclaim to be moderate independents lean way fucking left but I always thought of Independents as freedom fighting liberty lovers….as people who hated marxists, authoritarians, totalitarians, fascists and everything the Left / Democrats seem to have become. What changed?

(Before someone screams “Trump”, just remember, it wasn’t Trump who colluded with a corrupt media and social media, it wasn’t Trump who made them stop pursuing happiness and quit working, Trump didn’t force them to take experimental medicine, or wear face diapers.)
Conservatives have always been stupid. It didn’t start with Trump. In fact when Tea Party came about, that was when conservative stupidity became flat out embarrassing. Trumptardism just somehow pulled off the feat of making conservatives even dumber than that. It’s pretty astounding.

and yet Sanders the socialist is very very pleased with the policies of the man you voted for .
Which policy are your referring to? There are lots of things you could point to as policy or exercising policy. I am sure Conoco Philllips approves Biden policy on approving the Willow Project, drilling on public lands, while keeping safe the Arctic Wildlife Refuge, as do the people of Alaska, an of course the petroleum industry at large. Maybe your are referring to the Alaska LNG Project approval. I would imagine the approval of The state of Alaska, it's people and the Natural Gas industry, as well as everybody else, approve the $40 Billion Dollars Alaska LNG project, that one on the south coast of Alaska that stalled under the Trump administration, and the second major new project he has greenlighted in about as many months. I understand Biden support Electric Vehicle, their production and that of the Batteries to power them. I am certain all of West Tennessee is tickled sh#tless that Ford's project to put those new manufacturing facilities here and moving forward briskly. That kind of policy? Maybe you are concerned about his policies regarding infrastructure. I can tell you personally, I am quite pleased with the major I-40 expansion, multiple lanes added, the many new bridges, interchanges, replacing the cloverleafs, people slid off of in winter or caused extreme breaking and accident getting on and off, along with some off ramps that had been in the middle of bridges right in front of the on ramps. Yes, it was high time for infrastructure work on I-40 through here as it is a major east/west highway and the uptick in traffic by large semi-trucks since Biden came to office has been amazing. So he gets good marks on infrastructure policy here, though this area supported the other guy, as did the majority of the state. Are you asking about his administration's policy of looking at the big picture and not holding grudges against areas that did not support? Perhaps you are talking about his policy of support for Ukraine, supported by the vast majority of Americans, particularly supported by the many combat arms retirees, I know, as no American Troops on the ground, but the mission is being accomplished with our help.

You are just going to have to be more specific. Or are you saying these are all things the Socialist Bernie supported, and I may have judged his socialist ass to harshly?

“Stupid”?
Do they think wetbacks are good for America despite all the data?
Do they think socialism is good for America despite all the data?
Do they think pole puffers and rug munchers are good for America despite all the data?
Do they pretend dark people are America’s greatest asset despite all the data?
Do they think men can become women by proclamation?

Are you sure you know the definition of “stupid”?
Lol data. You’re adorable. You lack the most basic critical thinking skills to care about data. Like sure, maybe you have data you’d just love to post, but what’s the source? But let’s pretend the data is completely true. Can you provide context to that data? Can you examine contradictory data that provides context to your narrative? See because cherry picking data you like and ignoring what you don’t just makes you look stupid.

If you think any Mexican is bad for America, then you’re a moron. Because see no data is going to tell you any Mexican is bad for America. You’re just a racist, faux Christian idiot.

Socialism has always been apart of America. It’s been around since the beginning lol.

Oh so gay people are all bad too. Gee what data can you provide for that? HIV? Well see that wouldn’t make sense because lesbians are less likely to get HIV than heterosexual people having sex.

Who says black people are our greatest asset? Definitely not me.

No I don’t think men can become women. This is literally the only bullet point you are correct about lol

whatever lady . you know darn good and well the more effeminate someone is the more likely they are to lean left .

Well, we don't have to worry about that because the dems aren't having any primary debates.

thats allot of writing to point out work on a highway and drilling on public lands ... the only reason Biden [finally] allowed the project to go forward is because the left is getting pounded over the rise in fuel prices ... and Putin invaded Ukraine twice the 1st time when Biden was VP and the second when he became POTUS ... in between those to invasions was a 4 yr period when Putin didnt invade anyone ... care to take a guess when that was dembot ?

Actually there are several things wrong with your post. As I have said many times. I am slightly right of center. I am a Moderate.

That said. Let’s look at my issues and see where I fall. I’m pro second amendment. I’m a member of both the NRA and USCCA. I have a Concealed Carry License. I own firearms. In Berkeley California that makes me an extreme right wing lunatic.

I Al also a member of the ACLU. I believe the rest of the Amendments matter as much as the Second. I am opposed to Civil Asset Forfeiture. I’m am opposed to authoritarianism in any guise. I thought the Republicans were right when they argued medicine is between a doctor and patient and everyone else should but out.

I believe in regulating banking and the market. We have seen the results of deregulation too many times to argue otherwise. Relax the standards of Savings and loans. A few years later bail out the S and L industry. Relax the standards in Wall Street. Bail out Wall Street. Relax the regulations on banks. Where are we? Bailing out banks.

At this point arguing for deregulation is just saying we want some people to make a fortune quickly doing dumb and risky things and then throw money at it when the now inevitable outcome arises.

I really don’t understand your desire to throw Trump in there. The Mask Mandates happened while he was President. That is but one of your assertions that is just not true.

The arguments against them were idiotic nonsense.

The problem with extremists is anyone who doesn’t think like them, is an enemy. Worse they rewrite history constantly to fit the idealism of today.

I agree with you that men can’t get pregnant nor change their sex, but don’t you think it’s kind of pathetic how often you guys harp on this? Like you don’t shut the fuck up about it. It’s like the one thing you’re right about in politics so you milk it for all it’s worth lol

DONALD TRUMP is driving people away from the Republican party.
