"Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and other Democrats have called on Biden to simply cancel student debt up to $50,000 per student, wiping out billions in debt and potential federal revenue. That is a major unilateral decision when the national debt is approaching $28 trillion — one done without debate or deliberation. (In fairness, students are being crushed by such debt during the pandemic and, more importantly, Congress previously gave broad authority to the Education secretary over debt management.)
Other calls for sweeping new decisions, from immigration to wealth distribution, are more concerning. Democrats insist they won both houses and the White House and, as President Obama once said, “elections have consequences.” However, this election was not an overwhelming victory or endorsement. Rather, it shows a country divided virtually down the middle. While voters clearly rejected Trump and his controversial leadership, they voted widely for Republicans down the ticket. The House saw a significant loss of Democratic seats and has one of the slimmest majorities in modern history. The Senate is divided literally in half, and a majority is only possible with Vice President Harris voting to break ties on the floor.
Clearly, voters did not support the agenda of the far left, and many seem to have preferred divided government. Yet, many on the left do not want to wait for a broader mandate to implement sweeping changes. They are pushing for the District of Columbia to be made a state, likely adding a two-vote majority for Democrats in the Senate. Even more worrisome is the push to end the filibuster."

Comment:
I agree with the sage wisdom of Mr. Turley.
This nation is divided, in the Senate nearly so in Congress and especially across America.....
Clearly American voters dislike the agenda brought forth by China Joe....
To make my point... Constitutionally Washington D.C. cannot be made a state of the union... See:
In order to do so the Constitution would be required to be ratified by two thirds of the states. I do not believe that is possible.

I don't know, but their stuttering fuck had a hell of a half week.... hmm?

Fake inauguration attended by nobody, and slept through by those forced to attend
12,000+ Kung Flu deaths on his watch
100,000+ jobs wiped out
Women's athletics completely demolished
Banished the troops to a freezing parking garage with 1 bathroom and no wifi
Admits no plan for Covid
Invaded Syria (let's kill some more brown kids!)
Ended US energy independence
Broke his own mask mandate..... twice

and the icing on the cake, at the fake inauguration....

(stage directions whispered in the stuttering fuck's ear) "Salute the Marines"
Drooling Dumbfuck to the world: "Salute the Marines!"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the laughingstock of the entire fucking planet!

You stole an election for THAT drooling fucktard..... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

No they don't but if we are being honest I don't think either side does what they want is total control and obedience and they don't seem to have a clue to where it would lead if they ever got it or they just don't care.

Unity does not mean Dems give Republicans everything they want.

It means that on issues that are bipartisan, they can work out an agreement

I only see possibility of unity after republicans give up anarchy, insurrection and mob violence as valid tools for their use against the government when they lose and election. Until them, FK the traitors who care more about the republican party than they do about constitutional government and free elections.

Sorry, we are coming out of four years in which people who did not endorse the right-wing republican agenda were completely ignored and treated as if they did not exist. trump even resisted Congress fulfilling its oversight role. It was the trump administration that tore up subpoenas and refused to respond to Congress exerting its lawful role under the Constitution. The trump administration found every way it could to sneak away from revealing what it was doing from the public, to the point of eliminating daily press briefings.

We expect our leaders, who work for us, to step out in public and explain their policies and performance.

Look in the mirror asshole. God you people are sickening.

We hear both sides use the words unity, compromise and bipartisan when it suits them ie when they are in control but unless you are willing to take action to back up the words they are meaningless you might as well say rock, wrench and egg.

Minimum wage.

29 States have minimum wages higher than the Federal minimum wage. In 2020, Florida voters voted to raise the State's minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Thinking Republican voters are okay with not only having a minimum wage but having one higher than the Federal level. Will republican leaders meet the people they're supposed to be leading?

Is this your imitation of Mr. Magoo?

~~~~~~
Hah,,,You must be referring to Joey Xi.....
The democrats do not want unity, and neither do most patriots. The democrats want to force their ideological vision of united American down all our throats, all whilst pretending they do not mass murder the unborn, mutilate our children's bodies, and seek to destroy the human race with their anti-human political platforms. Just as most patriots could never unify with baby killers, no baby killer can ever be mentally or emotionally stable enough to be trustworthy or truly love another living soul. The only thing that can truly "unify" Americans again is war; war bloody and war until it ends, amen.
