In some ways. Not in the most obvious ways, Hitler was a lunatic who liked warring and nationalism. Trump is a lunatic who likes money and his own ego. Different.

However Hitler was dangerous. Hitler was ignored by many because "that just couldn't happen, could it?" and it did. And that's where the similarities are here. People think "that couldn't happen", but it is.

The difference between the two is that Hitler's end was quite quick and very brutal. Trump is ******* the US for a long, long time. The things he's doing, pushing the boundaries like a naughty child with parents who don't dare to tell him off. And that sort of thing has lots of precedent in history, lots of dictators, like Hitler, who got where they got because people (like Chamberlain) didn't push back when they had the chance.
