It was a three move checkmate. Advertising well in advance what their intentions were for the President's speech was probably a mistake for the Democrats. I'm not sure who came up with the idea to present an honorary badge to this young boy in front of this joint session but it was a stroke of genius.

Committed to being obstructionists for the entire speech Democrats were quite unable to shift gears for a moment in order to share a human experience that is basically universal and nonpartisan.

There were a lot of liberal women sitting on the Democrat side.... I have to wonder what kind of a mother a liberal woman makes if they were able to sit there and coldly confuse politics with real human suffering.....Coldly confused politics with the defining moment of a child's life.

It must suck having a liberal for a mother.

This was a portrait of the left that they were stupid to allow. It doesn't matter what they have to say in rebuttal the image is so powerful that there are no words that can heal it.

What has cancer research come up with. NOTHING. In how long? All they have is very old Chemo, get something new. If they are going to research, research some alternative methods they keep squelching.
