Dissecting John Stossel's Anti-Communist Lies

Stossel Comes from Long Island, where he's a social butterfly. For all his "capitalism" hot air, when his 2.5 Mil Hamptons mansion was blown away years ago, he had no problem getting Gov't agencies to pay for the loss. Some say, he was "underinsured". He's the ultimate 'Bankster': "Socialism for me, capitalism for the peasants".

/——-/ Cuba needs workers to bring in the sugar cane harvest. You can get there via Mexico.

It's not how you start the race, it's how you finish it that matters. It took centuries for capitalism to replace chattel slavery and feudalism, and it will take time for socialism and then communism to replace capitalism. It's just a matter of time.

You're wasting your time.

Comparing the wealth of kings and emperors with the wealth of men who had to earn it simply isn't valid.
Thats not the comparison I was going for. The loons are always going on about how wealth disparity is at its highest ever and that's complete bullshit. Compared to people like Khan and the common man in his day the poor today would be considered rich.

So without profit, how would we know that a government created Vioxx was fucked up?
How about Pfizer and it’s illegal marketing and it’s criminal guilty verdict?

Have you got anything Adam Smith?

You're the idiot for believing all of the Western propaganda bullshit against the USSR

Did they enslave half of Europe for over 40 years?

Again, how do you resolve the inevitable crises of advanced 21st century technology replacing wage labor?

Ask me again when it actually happens.

No, they didn't enslave half of Europe, if anything it's capitalist imperialism that is enslaving the whole world. I don't have to wait till it happens to discuss solutions for a problem that is being discussed not just by communists but by the capitalists themselves:

Stop being evasive and provide us with a capitalist solution to the replacement of wage labor with 21st-century, advanced automation. Whether it happens or not, how would capitalism resolve that problem without there being massive unemployment and hunger? Go ahead.

I would hardly describe socialism as getting its butt kicked in the 20th century. The Russian communists, beat the US and 14 other countries in 1918 when it was invaded by 8000 US Marines, and then it beat Nazi Germany. The Korean war ended without a clear victory for the US. Vietnam, we all know how that ended. Socialist principles were implemented in Russia by Putin in 2000, creating a mixed economy, which saved it from economic collapse. Socialism today is more popular than ever and with the advent of advanced automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, self-driving cars..etc, communism will become a necessity in the not-too-distant future. The only alternative is techno-feudalism, which no one in their right mind prefers.

South Korea is very successful and prosperous since the end of the Korean war. It was terribly poor. Wasn't communism that did it.

South Korea didn't become more prosperous and industrialized until the late 1980s. North Korea was more industrialized and its citizens enjoyed a higher standard of living than the South Koreans until the 1990s, after the collapse of the USSR. Now the DPRK/North Korea is being heavily sanctioned, even more than it was during the cold war.

Does South Korea have a mixed economy? How much of its economy is nationalized? I haven't checked, I don't know.

How will South Korea deal with the replacement of wage labor by advanced 21st-century automation technology? South Korea is in the same boat as the US.

No, they didn't enslave half of Europe,

Thank goodness!!!

What percentage of Europe did they enslave? Link?

I wonder what the growth rates of that commie paradise, North Korea, were over that period?

Must have been double!

Still doesn't explain North Korea's lack of light at night.

Or their lack of cars.

Or their periodic famines.

Maybe our new commie friend is just a big fat liar?

I don’t think you’re learning.

I don't think you understood my point.

Without the signals of price and profit, how do you tell
if your product is one that is in demand by consumers?

Communist central planners had to come up with millions of prices
across their economies. They had to plan how many units of each product were made.

How successful were their plans?

More successful than capitalists?

Just as successful as capitalists?

Less successful than capitalists?

Thanks.

I have several friends from South Korea. They keep me abreast of the news there. They are quite super charged.

Of course not, because I was born and raised here in the United States. It's illegal for me to live in a communist country, under American sanctions and threats of war. But anyways, why would I live in another country, when I can live here in the United States and do whatever I can to make it more socialist and communist?

...."when I can live here in the United States and do whatever I can"

If we were under communism you wouldn't be able to do anything. Lol. What a nut.
