Disruptive student behavior in Virginia

Anyone who is scared shouldn't teach where I teach. Lots of middle-aged women teach at the same school I do, and they do not "fear for their lives."

Don't exaggerate.
Don’t isolate.

The 50s and 60s, students respected teachers and the schools. Students would never dream of assaulting a teacher because a teacher told them to put away a magazine during class. Same students could bring guns to school.

Today, teachers need to fear for their life when they tell a student to put away their cell phones.
My daughter was a substitute teacher for a while. She got her high school education in the 1980s and said the schools he taught at had much less discipline.
