Doesn't matter what her name is. She cannot change her DNA. What Disney was trying to do is soften the blow from both sides. Let's hire a half white/Hispanic to play the role and appease everyone. Whites won't be as outrage and Hispanics are pleased. Disney could, for all I know, hire an Indian, black, or Chinese to play Snow White.

And how is making the dwarves CGI woke? I agree it was a bad decision, but how is it woke?

Well, to be fair, there are a lot of "woke" elements in it.

The whole problem with the Dwarves is originally, they listened to Peter Dinklege who said that portraying them as Dwarves was insensitive to Little People. So they cast Seven Diverse Ren Faire Rejects instead. (And they are still in the movie, their parts have been severely slahsed.) Of course, Disney Purists screamed their heads off.

That's when Disney went back and cast the Seven CGI Abominations.

The problem is when you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.

Because I just love seeing the woke fail. Of course the costs ran out of control. They reshot much of the film trying to get the stink off. Originally they had 7 non binary magical creatures. 250 million dollars, down the drain. I just love it!

Actually, they are a business, and part of the reason why the price spiralled out of control is that they tried to please the people who obsess over the racial purity of Fairy-Tale princesses.
