The Walt Disney Company is reportedly gearing up for a potential legal battle with President Donald Trump's administration over the reinstatement of late night host Jimmy Kimmel (who was briefly suspended last week).

That's according to a Wednesday article in Bloomberg, which reported that inside sources at the company have already started consulting legal experts about what a protracted war in the courts with the White House could look like. Bloomberg's sources told the outlet that Disney is "confident it will win" in the event it has to go toe-to-toe with Trump.

Think for a minute. Here is the president of the United States who is going to take legal action against a private US company that is returning a show on free TV that he does not like. Is this North Korea? Is this Russia? Can you imagine Obama demanding a talk show that ridicules him be taken off the air and then sues to see it stays off? Repubs would be screaming for his head on a platter.

Disney will spend millions of dollars defending their decision while trump will spend millions of dollars of tax payer's money to try and smash a private US company. But Disney needs to stand up. This is a lot bigger than just Jimmy Kimmel. This is an Autocrat against the First Amendment.

ABC had an onslaught of complaints from their other stations. It was a business decision. Kimmel has the right to say whatever he wants, no one ever took that away from him. But his company had every right to suspend or fire him over crude comments.

I agree with Jay Leno. Why alienate half your audience by attacking one political party, but that is not the point. The child named trump has to be worshipped and admired or he is hurt and strikes back. He is a man/child and a bully.p

In any event the end of Kimmel's show is a done deal. Between Sinclair and Nexstar more than 70 outlets are not airing Kimmel. This is not survivable. It just isn't.
