Discussion about Political Terminology

Other people use words differently. There is no one size fits all. Oh well. This post is meant to start a discussion about such matters. It is not intended to be complete as it stands.

I distinguish between liberals in general and the portion of that group who deservingly get labeled “libtards.”

Interestingly, there is a very different type of “liberal” known as a “classical liberal” who today would probably be recognized as a fairly strict conservative.

Liberals also define themselves in a variety of ways including something they call “progressive.” It’s an ironic term in many ways.

I’ve noticed that libtards are quick to lump all folks on the right side of the political spectrum into one big undifferentiated group which makes it easier for them to pretend that “they” are the ones with virtue and anybody on the right is essentially a fascist, authoritarian, racist, sexist and homophobic drooling imbecile.

They are National Socialists - they seek to nationalize major industry and establish a socialist economy. This is just fact.

• democrats have a scapegoat based on race. Whites are the new "Juden."
• democrats are collectivist, seeking control of the means of production by their Reich.

• democrats supplant civil rights with group privilege
• democrats eradicate the rule of law and create dictatorship based on the party

I would fall into that category and can say that it would only be called a 'fairly strict conservative' if you consider fairly strict conservatives as not being anywhere near the republican party whatsoever.

Modern republicans have more in common with democrats than they do with a classical liberal.

An interesting observation. My problem with much of the GOP is that they don’t behave as a proper counterbalance to the Democrat Parody. Because they (Mainly the GOP leadership) are so often feckless, the movement of our political society over time is to the left. Rarely even allowing for a pendulum swing, the most the GOP does is maybe slow down that left creep.

People who identify as being “on the right side of the political spectrum” may disagree with each other as to who is or isn’t a genuine “conservative.” For my part, when I identify as a conservative, I’d say I’m a Constitutional Conservative.

Some conservatives might reject me as even being part of the tribe because my view insists that the government’s role in our private lives is supposed to be limited. Therefore, not only do I not care if a couple is gay, I maintain that it is also none of the government’s damn business. I’m in favor of free speech and opposed to nonsense like cancel culture. I question government actions but don’t think it’s appropriate to do construct the power of government that it can’t do the very things we believe governments should do.

I am a registered Republican in the hope that I may be able to assist in a movement to get the GOP to step up again. The alternatives to my way of thinking just aren’t viable.

Since I liberated myself from the social construct of "racism" (thus "racist" etc.) I sort of cringe every time I see them used now, no matter the political leanings of whom is using them.

Free yourself and it will become very clear who the dividers are in our society and what they hope to accomplish.

I don't know where I would be placed where this subject is concerned. I might be all over the map. One thing that I will admit to is that a black person in my opinion is an African American since some people are referred to as French Canadian and so I don't know what kind of label I would be given. That of course is just one example.
