Talk about irony.

California, in a bid to ban diesel powered trucks has created a situation where diesel generators must be employed to charge electric trucks to keep freight moving.

"On July 16, the Wall Street Journal reported that there are fewer than 700 electric-truck chargers at depots in California right now. The state projects it will need 157,000 by 2030.

The deadline isn’t moving, and trucking companies have started purchasing electric trucks to comply with the regulations. “As automakers deliver new electric trucks to fleet customers, parking lots that once needed enough power for a few floodlights now might need to draw as much power as a skyscraper,”

electric trains use diesel generators to charge the batteries.
Electric motors makes vehicles substantially more efficient than internal combustion engines (ICEs). Electric motors convert over 85 percent of electrical energy into mechanical energy, or motion, compared to less than 40 percent for a gas combustion engine.Jul 31, 2019

And who would call a train anything close to efficient or clean burning? So why would you want to compare them to trucks? Modern trucks are so clean burning the air going in is cleaner than the air going out. Certified clean idle is a huge thing now.

Typically dumb or disingenuous. The electricity is being generated by burning hc and looses heat in transmission making the entire system less efficient.

The funny part is that the future of EV transportation will include everyone towing a trailer with a hc burning generator on it.

Not so fast, Sloopy. You're partly correct but this short 1 1/2 min video shows you the proper technique. Use this when you run out of TP.

I am going to gasification to reduce the amount of household trash laying around.

Yup. That sounds like California alright. And you can bet the dems will be touting all about their electric trucks.
