I just stumbled across this and got the laugh of the day.
This is Pat Robertson on the 700 club, March of 1980, claiming that the world would end in 1982. This was DURING the GOP primaries for the 1980 election, just to note...
At 2:30, he predicts a massive war in Israel in 1982. Didn't happen.
He claimed that Russia, Iran and Ethiopia (!!!!) would invade Israel in 1982. Didn't happen.
He practically made the claim that Anwar Sadat was a Christian. He wasn't.
He claimed that the Jews could not give up E. Jerusalem, otherwise the so-called End-Times prophecies could not happen.
12:08 "will trigger a major war"

Here is that same deeply Christian man here, during the 1992 presidential campaign:
(start at 1:30)
Of course, since Armageddon didn't happen and Robertson didn't get elected in 1988 and then he crashed the 1992 convention, he is now just giving sage advice to people on TV:
Pat Robertson!!!

........................................................................................................
And what to we learn from this?
We learn that you should never trust a charlatan.
