Yep! My parents helped me with my first car, they gave me $1500 towards a down payment, but I had to pay the rest. No way were they paying for the whole thing. I also had to get a job, when I used their car before that, I had to pay for the gas I used.

I told my son when he was fifteen, Yeah, I thought I knew everything when I was fifteen too, but then when I was twenty one I realized how STUPID I really was. (and then I just gave him the look!)

If I had one, I also wouldn't let my 15 year old daughter join...because I know that everyone would just assume that she was a 45 year old man.
