No the west advantage is economic opportunity.
Let me put it this way. Imagine your current job. Now imagine doing it for one tenth as much money. That would be you moving to Moscow. Now imagine doing the same job for ten times the money. That would be you moving to the west. Or a hundred times as much money.
Now how much propaganda do you imagine the CIA had to do to get this point across to the Ukrainian people? I’m betting that they didn’t spend a dime spreading that word. They didn’t need to.
The west represents unimaginable wealth and opportunity. The poor in the west live like the middle class in the former Soviet nations.
The hookers were an easy example. Hookers everywhere do the same job. They perform the same actions. The only difference is how much money they make.
So if you were Ukrainian and had the choice of aligning yourself with the East, with your former overseers. With the economic reality that is the Russian Federation, or the west with much more pay for the same labor. Why would the CIA or anyone need to stir up resentment?

Since the airplanes aren’t getting the services that are mandated none of them can fly internationally again. So Russia’s national airlines are kaput. Still doing well are they?
Europe is hoping to cut back on Russian gas and oil, so they’ve bumped up North Sea production. This has cut Russian exports to Europe.
Russian Oil is capped. They can’t sell it for whatever the market will bear. And one of the few countries that are interested in buying it won’t even pay up to the cap. They want it for eight or nine dollars below what Dubai is charging.
How is that economy doing again?

Both articles you listed indicate Russia is getting foreign aircraft parts for their fleet. You indicated they can’t buy foreign parts.Your ignorance is showing.
I‘ll grant you I wasn’t aware Russia’s fleet had so many foreign made aircraft.

This time, nobody can even imagine the extent of destruction – and the cost in human lives. And it may be too late for the western “elites” – masterminds of disaster – to run to their bunkers.

To fly internationally planes must have what are called airworthiness certificates. These are issued after inspections from qualified mechanics and engineers who do a ton of tests during various inspections. The most intensive have the plane stripped to the frame and ultrasonic testing for cracks in the stringers.
These inspections are performed by mechanics and engineers qualified by the manufacturer at facilities that specialize in it. Without those inspections no certificate can be issued, and most nations won’t let you fly.
So all those aircraft, even ones getting parts, are stuck in Russia. They can’t file a flight plan to any foreign country without the certificate.
For domestic flights, the Russians decided to come up with new rules.
None of the third party facilities that Russian airlines used will perform the inspections. So the planes are flying with local OK’s for domestic flights and flights to allied countries.
Think about that for a moment. Russian mechanics trying to make repairs on planes they aren’t rated on with whatever parts they can get via hook or crook.
Even if the sanctions were lifted tomorrow there is no way those planes will ever fly internationally again. They missed inspections and are unsafe by the book.
It gets even worse for this great economy.
Most airlines fly leased aircraft. That is to say another company buys the aircraft and that company leases it to airlines like Aeroflot.
Well when the Russian Airlines were prohibited from flying internationally they couldn’t pay the leases.
Some settlements were arranged, but many aircraft are still held hostage by Russia. And let me ask you this. Would you arrange a lease for an airline if they previously stiffed you for billions of dollars?
Nobody is going to lease anything to any Russian airline for at least a generation. So the airlines will have to buy the aircraft directly. And insuring those planes will be near impossible since all of the international insurance companies lost money from this.
Realistically speaking, the Russian Airlines are about where they were ten minutes after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
They’ve lost decades of work building safety and customer service rating that were not bad at all.

In fact, many Americans are conditioned to support war and the military. Many ignorantly believe our government’s numerous foreign interventions resulting in massive death, destruction, and debt is protecting our freedoms. The reality is just the opposite.
