I think I see where the wheels fell off your tricycle. You are equating the guy who collects multiple guns and stores and shoots them safely with the guy who accumulates guns with the purpose of using them to shoot as many people as possible. On the one hand, you say you don't want to get rid of the 2nd Amendment that guarantees the right to bear arms and has been affirmed by the Supreme Court to apply to individuals. OTOH, however, you also approvingly cite Europe's gun laws which violate the 2nd. You can't have it both ways, claiming to support the 2nd while wishing for laws that violate it. You could be honest and say you want to rewrite the 2nd, diluting it to the point on meaninglessness.

Not the case at all. According to the CDC there are 1.5M Americans who tried to commit suicide, 12.8M strongly considered it. Had they had a gun in the closet...they might have done it.

Fewer guns=fewer gun deaths.

Europe figured it out; we should too.

Yet the Japanese have higher suicide rates with fewer guns. Maybe they should be looking at how the US figured it out.
