Dewey Martin RIP

gee,

I'm sad all kinds of people I never heard of and therefore don't care about are dying.

Young people speaking their minds,
Getting so much resistance from behind.

my favorite buffalo springfield tune starts at about 2:15

For those of you who weren't there, BufSpring's brief fame rather dramatically effected many of us boomers.

Everybody started looking round, and man!, one hell of a lot of us didn't much like what we saw goin' down, either.

We didn't just put 10,000 people in the streets, we put 10,000,000 people in the streets speakin' our minds.

Didn't really help much to change American foreign policy, but it was a fine way to meet chicks, let me tall yas'.

It was groovy, until the man come to take us away, too.

Man...there's a song I'd forgotten entirely.

Still holds up pretty well, I think.

I like the "Can't turn you loose" bass-line stuck into the bridge.

Good songwriters borrow, great ones steal, I suppose.
