Content Warning: This post discusses the problem of the Christian religion and its practice in American society. The article is not intended to be persuasive or evangelical in any form or content because there are those deeply wounded by religion in America and are in recovery. I am among the recovering clergy myself. I tried to scrupulously avoid triggers, but this whole topic is a Claymore mine. Please read with caution.)

Are you a Christian or a Roman?

neither

The whole article starts out with a false premise. Only on Abortion do Evangelicals seek really to "preach" as it were their point to the government, and only using the mechanics of the government.

Most of their other causes involve them simply to be left the hell alone, to raise their children as they see fit, and to be tolerated as the left supposedly wants others to be tolerated.

Forced acceptance of moral positions in public is the position of the SJW left religion/cause/whatever, not the religious rights, at least not anymore.

The religious right learned their lesson with the failure of the moral majority movement, lessons the SJW left needs to take to heart themselves.

While it is true that Christianity was never intended to justify a theocracy, every successful society must have the rule of law, and that rule must be founded in valid and time-proven principles. Modern history teaches nothing more emphatically than that atheistic, "logic-based" rules of law lead to tyranny and massive "inhumanity," inflicted by the Sovereign on its subjects.

The Founding Fathers had it right. No government sponsored religion, but morality-based rules. Abandon them at your peril.

I tend to quit reading anything that relies of calling people Fascists. It's cheap and the sign of one without a real valid argument.
I tend not to read anything that the opening post does introduce with a summary. Having a little extra time this morning, I did a quick scan of the article. Here is my take:

The article said that even though one might be a slave in Roman times, Jesus taught that one can still retain freedom of heart and mind, because it is the truth that sets us free. Next, apparently the government didn't like the idea of slaves being free in heart and mind, and took over Christianity for government use and forced Christianity to meld in with secular government so its messages can be controlled by secular forces. Added to this mess, even when Christianity was kicked out of government when no longer useful to government, we have a poorly trained clergy.

This post is a lesson drawn on the studies of Theology, by an actual theologian. The information contained therein is factual beyond any reproach. The author was making the attempt to show how Christianity as practiced today in many circles, is done so by ignorance, contempt, or purposely, not knowing or caring that Christianity was, and is a counter culture movement, started by the person the religion represents a named after, and was bastardized by the Romans solely to enforce authoritarianism on the populace as politicians use evangelicals to promote dominionism for the same purposes.

Go back and read the authors explanation of the long con again, and read it as many times as necessary, until you gain understanding that n the difference between the Christianity of Jesus Christ, and the Christianity of the Romans.

I have had similar thoughts.

Theocracy was a complete disaster in Europe, and yes, Constantine started all that. Here we had an aspiring politician and military leader adopting a fledgling religion that seemed to prosper despite the persecution, so he saw a political opportunity and ran with it. But Constantine was not a Christian as he continued to worship the pagan Roman gods, although it is rumored he converted on his death bed.

Constantine just used the fledgling religion for his own political power.

However, Biblically we see how God set up government. God set up the nation of Israel with perhaps the smallest of government structures. Israel was just held together with tribes and judges to handle disputes. But the people demanded a king, like Constantine instead

1 Samuel 8

8 When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders.[a] 2 The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. 3 But his sons did not follow his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice.

4 So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. 5 They said to him, “You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead[b] us, such as all the other nations have.”

6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”

10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”

21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the Lord. 22 The Lord answered, “Listen to them and give them a king.”

Man was not created to be a king, that is God's role. And when man attains the role, they will become abusive because of his sin nature and lust for power. The politics of man can never embrace the ways of God because politics is nothing more than a power grab to gain power over opposing groups. Within the Catholic church you saw these abuses with Inquisitions, Jewish persecution, Jewish ghettos, the Crusades, etc. In fact, to this day those in the West in the Middle East are referred to as "Crusaders".

Having said all that, there is no reason why Christians should not participate in the political process. They should still stand up for what they believe as right, and will no doubt suffer from the political forces that they may rub the wrong way, as they have done throughout history.

But Christians should know that ultimately, the world governments are not apart of God's kingdom, rather, they are corrupt to varying degrees and always will be. Christians should keep in mind that in Revelation we see the world governments demanding people take a mark in their right arm or forehead or die. Yea, you should not go along with that and as we see the evolution of the governments of men will someday devolve into this fascist hell eventually.

Just be weary of the state trying to take over the pulpit like they did in England. This is something the Founding Fathers were adamantly against, and they were spot on. But today, we see the rise of the religious left with Black Liberation Theology that views the governments role to be that of doing God's work to help the poor. Then you get apostates like Warnock up there telling people that Jesus smiles on such things as abortion and gay marriage, etc. So long as Jesus bows his knee to the DNC or the governments of men, they will not be persecuted and simply adopted into the fold. However, if Jesus does not bow his knee, eventually they will be thrown to the lions like Christians were hundreds of years after Christ and the disciples died for their stand of faith before Constantine came along.

You are promoting a ridiculous conspiracy theory. The people silencing their opponents are woke activists and the corporate media.

Indefensible intolerance:

Actually it is factual. Don't you know what Dominionism is?

First while yes Dominionism is heretical the writer also argues that the Church under Constantine became bastardized. That poses a problem for you since you defend Catholicism every chance you get.

If you really want to know who’s spreading lies, look no further than the corporate media:

Does anyone still believe these people?

Dominionism comes from convicted felon Cyrus Scofield who was hired by Samuel Untermyer about 1900. Nothing to do with Constantine or the Catholic Church.
