Huge News for All Those Upset By 'Last Man Standing''s Cancellation

Last Man Standing may get a second lease of life, following its cancellation at ABC. Executives at 20th Century Fox Television, the studio behind the Tim Allen-starring sitcom, confirmed to Variety today that they will seek a new home for the show." data-reactid="23">Last Man Standing may get a second lease of life, following its cancellation at ABC. ...The cancellation has sparked a backlash among the show's conservative fan base, with many accusing ABC of ending the show because of Allen's politics, and specifically his controversial appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year.

The show was doing very well in ratings, so it was libtarded Nazis who cancelled it out of spite. This would be the perfect show for some place like Netflix or Amazon to pick up. Cable TV is a dinosaur caught in a tar trap.

WTF ARE YOU RIGHTIES ALWAYS CLAIMING THE VICTIM CARDS????

ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey defended her decision to reporters on a conference call Tuesday, noting she also canceled shows with decidedly more progressive politics this year, like producer John Ridley’s acclaimed drama American Crime and columnist Dan Savage’s comedy The Real O’Neals.

“A large part of these jobs are managing failure and we’ve made the tough calls and canceled shows that we’d otherwise love to stay on the air,” Dungey said. “That’s the job. I canceled Last Man Standing for the same business and scheduling reasons that I canceled Dr. Ken, The Real O’Neals, The Catch and American Crime. And Last Man Standing was a challenging one for me because it was a steady performer in the ratings, but once we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Fridays, that was where we landed.”
ABC Defends 'Last Man Standing' Cancellation

From a financial point of view, ABC did not own Last Man Standing and had been reducing licensing fees on many of its aging shows — including Sony's The Goldbergs, ABC Studios' Once Upon a Time and 20th TV's Modern Family — in a bid to reduce costs amid dwindling viewership and ad dollars.

Additionally, that Last Man was wrapping its sixth season meant Allen would need to renegotiate his contract — adding an additional costs to the aging series as ABC also was set to shoulder a larger share of the overall price tag on the comedy.

Don't ya just love it when some liberal snowflake claims conservatives play the victim card. This to deflect from fact. But since the ultra left Dungey came up with an illogical explanation, it must be the truth because she said it and all the LWNJs have to agree and parrot the party line.

Netflix is a joke. Nothing but old bullshit with a couple worthy self made programs.

I always miss shows during their regularly aired time slots anyway. I always end up binge watching them to catch up via NetFlix or On Demand. Even thinking of buying a Roku...or whatever it's called this weekend. Moving to Netflix would be a good thing IMO.

Networks often cancel their highly rated shows mostly on emotional grounds. A&E cancelled Longmire because the audience was felt to be too old. Jay Leno was replaced because of a perceived republican leaning. The media sees itself as directing and molding the public opinion.

I wonder if CMT or Free Form have been approached yet.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. The Hallmark network also shows it during the afternoons. They too could pick the show up where it has left off.
