Dept of Ed spending soared 749% despite downsizing, new DOGE-inspired initiative reveals

Exactly
Teachers care about educating kids

Republicans don’t

Look at what blue states pay for education vs red states

Yes, they are very good at wasting money. Public education doesn't have a money problem. It has a process and efficiency problems.

Same here, but I live in a conservative state. I have heard that many private, particularly Catholic, schools in blue cities, while much better at educating than public, still use left-wing indoctrination techniques.

I'd be hesitant to send ours to a faith based school. Ours attend an academic school, focused on education. They do however say the pledge each morning and have a moment for prayer and reflection that no student is forced to participate except to remain silent. Most students participate.

The graduation rate is always near 100% and college bound is nearly identical. I couldn't be more pleased

No, the’re from another right wing front group that specialized in these hyperventilating hit pieces.
So why are you whining about DOGE in post after post after post after post after post after post?

If you have any DOE numbers that contradict their findings, post them. Otherwise you sound like a deranged lunatic ranting about DOGE

But hey, you do you.

That’s true, but not everyone is equipped for that.

I know someone where several parents formed a “pod,” (I think that’s what they called it), and one parent was in charge of teaching their kids. The other parents kept their professional jobs, and of course all pitch in to pay the at-home teacher.
The official term is co'op, and they are very useful. They neuter the complaint that kids don't have interaction with other kids and give the kids chances at group field trips and activities in addition to just learning. Couple them with a quality online curriculum and there's little they can't do.

Basically, anytime you turn incentivized parents loose, they can do wonders for their kids without needing the heavy hand of government.

Blue states are also very good at getting results
Top ranked states are all Blue
Worst states for education are Red

It’s BS, almost certainly.

DOGE is little more than a farce designed to give fake gravitas to made up right wing claims, all fed to the Trump suckers on X.

None of it is ever accompanied by any evidence whatsoever. There is no sign that any real investigation going on. Nor is there any sign of any plan to manage these imaginary crises.

DOGE is a right wing noise generator.

It's doing a lot more than generating noise.
It's raising the awareness of the general public to the fact that they have been herded by thieves for decades now. The Exodus of voters from the left looks to be pretty massive. Full impact of DOGE will be felt over the next several election cycles.

I’ve tutored students at private schools and public schools. The work is about the same.

We really need a group to rally parents and oversee the formation of these co-ops. It’s an excellent solution for parents who can’t afford private school or to quit their jobs to teach at home.

Well except for the fact that one teacher is completely unqualified to teach multiple subjects at higher grades. I taught math, history and science classes in schools, but I found substitute teaching in language arts classes to be both a challenge and boring as hell! I would never teach my own kids on those topics. I could never do as good of a job as their teachers in my high school. My son and daughter-in-law had a Language Arts teacher that was a Reserve Green Beret. Both joined the Army because of him. My son wrote most of the award's packages for his units in the Army.

In most states that is considered a private school and subject to a lot more rules and regulations than homeschooling, just FYI.

Go down to the city level. State level is useless, since some of the worst DemoKKKrat shitholes are in red states.

Same for crime stats.

You know this, but I understand why you have to lie about it.

Well, it works for the elementary school kids.

But once they get to middle or high school, I agree parents are not equipped to teach specialized subjects. Unless the parents have $20k per kid to spend on private, they’re screwed. The answer of course is to relocate to a red state, but that’s not so easy.
