I can't prove it but I have read enough about the history of power and influence campaigns to believe that perhaps Jewish leaders and Christian leaders found (find?) the other religion as some minor threat to their doctrine. However, you cannot divorce the teachings of Sharia law and jihad from the religion. So long as Muslims are in the minority, they live peaceably for the most part. However, once the majority, things quickly change.

This means that of the 2 billion plus Muslims in the world today, they all desire to implement Sharia law, because Sharia law is Islam. It is a marriage of the Mosque and state. The long dream of those in Islam is worldwide Sharia law that can only occur once their numbers in each country make them the majority.
