It is already at least 1 million years old and it is more than a mile thick at its thickest point and has 700k cubic miles of ice. While the climate "scientists" say it is melting, what it does is what the ice cores record. It "manufactures" a new layer of ice on top every year. The ice thickens, it gets heavier, it pushes down and out, it digs, and when it gets into ocean, it breaks off in the form of an ICEBERG, so tell us where it is "melting." It isn't that far from the coasts, except on the southern tip, where the Vikings were farming until the 1400s. The southern tip is still south of Arctic Circle. And, yes, in the summer, that section of ice does melt, but it has not "retreated," and many Viking dwellings are buried under 600 layers of ice. To change that, Greenland needs to start moving away from the pole. To spend a huge amount of money to build military bases on a piece of land that is already a million year old plus continent specific ice age would only make sense if Greenland was clearly moving away from North Pole. I Don't believe that it is.

? I don't know , but it sounds doubtful. Did the Marshall Plan even include them ? Looked it up. The Marshall Plan helped rebuild 16 western European nations , Russia was not included. They took a very the eastern block and helped those countries back on their feet but took.tuem over at the same time. Not a good thing.
