I predicated last week that Dems will actually poison any bill so it won't pass. They are desperate for something to run on this Nov, a bi-partisan bill isn't going to help them.

The DOJ helped prove that the previous 'assault weapons' ban made almost no impact on mass shootings / murders.

I wonder why Democrats don't bring this up.

"The ban’s impact on gun violence is likely to be small at best, and perhaps too small for reliable measurement. He'd start talking about firing off a shotgun in the air or something. Then ask why the shooters don't shoot people in the leg.

Or something like "assault weapons can shoot a bb for up to 49 miles and kill several hundred black people with racist seeking ammunition and when they land they cause global warming. That's why we need to mandate vaccines against Putin".
