I came here feeling more like a Republican, then the first Republican post to me was such bullshit, it made me want to go back. I'd like the Republican party more if it weren't for dumb Republicans.

I'm staying in Florida this month. This morning I heard Ron DeSantis wanted to build golf courses in state parks. The idea was very unpopular. He backed off and said the idea was "half baked"

Here is what I have learned about Republicans. Whatever they want, eventually they get. The Democrats and public are not as persistent as Republicans are. Eventually, there will be golf courses in Florida state parks.

Republicans with bad ideas run for Governor or Senator and they lose because their ideas suck. Then Trump appoints them to a cabinet. Devos from MI and Linda McMahon are two examples. Eventually, even if their ideas are unpopular, Republicans get what they want.

Abortion is a good example. Most want abortion to be available in all 50 states, at least within 8 weeks. Even in red states. But look how Republicans eventually got what they wanted.

They want to privatize/end social security and medicare. Eventually, that day will come. They've been warning us for years.

But, I have survived Reaganomics, Bushanomics and I'll survive Trumpanomics. In fact, I'm more investor class now because I'm in my 50's. I got money. I own stocks. And my brother is rich so I don't worry about my nephews, who both have great college degrees from a great school. One's going to law school now. So even if Republicans end social security and medicare, we'll be fine.

**** the poor. I've been fighting for those dumb asses for years. I'm done. They vote for Republicans? Fine. Then let Republicans pass every dumb ass idea they want.

Think I'm stupid? Republicans for YEARS have wanted to give rich people tax breaks for sending their kids to private schools. We've said for YEARS no. You are not going to defund public schools.

Then Betsy Devos was appointed to the Department of Education. I don't know what changes she made in Trump's first term. I never heard anything. Did she ever get those tax breaks for private school passed? If not, I bet Linda will get it done.

All I'm saying is Republicans get shot down by voters because of such bad ideas, but eventually, you get it done regardless of those past elections. Now that's some deep state shit right there.

And this is the reason why. They need to have a total inter party election ,no independents or other parties and one of the things to decide what the Party's definition is of Civil Rights. Two of them has filed legislation to ban women only sports.
