Its an interesting question. Are you friends with others who have aggressively different political beliefs? If so, do you talk politics? We have three close couples and have similar beliefs, but actively try to avoid political discussions. We have a couple of other couples we are friends with that have much different views, but again we just don't talk politics and everything is fine.

Yes. We usually don't talk politics, but here's my experience: Leftists are more apt to make politics their identity whereas conservatives are not. Honestly there are much more interesting things to talk about than a bunch of narcissistic dunderheads in DC

But I’ve come close. Not over the Olivia’s but his other Republican friends even told him he’s been radicalized.

I’ve come close. My other friend kept getting us back together but now he’s not talking to him anymore. The guy gets offended easily (triggered) and goes below the belt immediately. So now they don’t speak.

One time I stopped talking to him over if aliens exist. He said the government admitted they exist and he’s too stupid to realize that’s not what they said. The other day he said Obama admitted aliens are real and again, not what he said.

My wife and I aren’t MAGA, per se, but we are definitely Republican if for no other reason than the Democratic Party is completely nuts. We are both educated, my wife is an MD. Her collegues are also Republican and also MDs. Both our fathers are retired engineers. Republican. I work with all college graduates and those in my group are Republicans and intelligent. They may not love all of Trump’s antics, but they are smart enough to know that he policies are far better for the country than anything a current Democrat has to offer.

The mistake many Democrats make is that assuming because a person graduated from college that they are intelligent. The truly intelligent college grads are those that are able to think on their own and didn’t blindly swallow all the liberal ideology they were fed over the years.

There is no comparing this, there is no equating this, with anything or anyone else in American history. Or, as far as I can tell, world history. This is a uniquely ugly moment, the greatest country in the world just disintegrating because of diverging realities.

So they can play those dishonest games all they want. It demonstrates how lost they have become. And that's exactly what's wrecking families and relationships. People are grieving their loss, and their loved ones haven't even died.
