I love a billionaire tax. Here is how I would do it. Feel free to amass as much money as you can in the 100 years you will be alive. When you die, the government gets half of it. Your kids can have the other 500 million dollars. Fair enough?

Guess you've never heard of the estate tax have you? I have noticed the vast ignorance of people on all sides when anything related to taxes and taxing is involved. I was a tax professional for 20 years and still keep abreast. Everything above $15 million fair market value gets taxed at the federal level. States have their own estate taxes too. Washington state kicks in at $3 million.

So, now what? There's already "tax the rich" in place. If you want to tax the holy hell out of them, why would one bother?
