Democrats put their foot down!!!

The DNC's Rules Committee took an unusual step and decided that Florida's 210 votes in the National Party Convention would be forefeited if the state insists on holding their primary election on January 29th when National party rules prohibit state parties from holding their primaries before February 5th. This is a great decision on their part because it acknowledges the need to prevent a primary timing war. Now you have Florida basically telling the Democratic National Committee that they are going to move up the election to January 29th which is before February 5th and numerous other states threaten to do the same if Florida is allowed to get away with this blatant violation of party rules.

Not doing anything to penalize Florida will result in a election day war where January 29th will become January 10th in Texas and Florida will respond by making it January 6th and then Hawaii will rush to respond and make it December 18th while Michigan who doesn't want to be left behind will make it the second Tuesday after the first Monday in November of odd number years (i.e., election day of the previous year). But then California will rush to the gambit and tell everyone that their primary will be on election day four years before the General election (hey, you get to select your Party's next presidential nominee when you are voting for the next President). This is why this nonsense must be stopped.
