The country has been pretty split 50/50 for years. Look at the popular vote for Trump's last election and the razor thin margins in Congress. Power shifts but the divide has remaind constant for awhile now.

In many respects, this might be a good time for the U.S to cut its budget with resource cuts.

If I am Trump I start with the upper management in bloated agencies, allow Middle management of government organizations to have a bit more responsibility. This is conducted constantly in the corporate world.

Democrats will own the shutdown and cave. The country isnt split its united against democrat ideology.
Illegals are the only way democrats can stay in power. The 2030 census will cut 10-15 seats in the house and give to GOP states due to millions of lost population. They need illegals to replace them. Thats not going to happen. 2 million have already been deported.
Illegals have no right to health care.

I am sick to death of politicians toying with my emotions by promising to shut the government down. I get all excited and happy, but they keep showing up in the Swamp anyway to try and destroy the country even more.

It is very disheartening to say the least
