In my opinion polls today are not as accurate as they once were since not only are people not as trusting of them as in the past but thanks to consequences for some during Covid and bans on social.media for speaking their minds.etc many will give the answer they believe the pollster wants to hear, not what they actually believe. With this issue being #1 or #2 for voters in 2024, I find it hard to believe ONLY 56% support the reversal of oen borders. There is a risk of such biases in behavioural clinical studies as well so this "tester bias" is well grounded in emperical research. Consider the abuses that some meted out agaainst others who dared speak their minds during covid, politics or the like? This communist-style forced conformidity and Groupthink has skewed polls and openly expressed opinion. Europe is pretty well there today, their democracies being destroyed from within, which is why JD Vances direct words to their governments stung them so deep.
