Democrats? Hello?

That's the problem with a two party system. If the party on the left is run by ineffective people, there's no one else to step in.

In the UK the Tory leader, whoever she is (I know she's a woman, but don't know her name), is very ineffective so it's opened the way for Farage and his nonsense.

The US needs a different political system, fast.

Your current problem is the party on the right is autocratic, anti-democratic and authoritarian. And right wing billionaires are lying in order to keep them in power and get tax cuts.

Oligarchs have taken over and they're lying to the voters about their candidate.

After this Biden debacle, why would anyone trust anything a Democrat ever says about anything?

As James Carville said, "It's the economy stupid.". If the economy keeps improving, the commiecrats are going to have one hell of an up hill climb.

.

And as Trump has upended other conventional wisdom items in politics, if I were him, if Congress keeps stalling, I would ask the people to elect Republicans that will cooperate with him on his agenda to go from EO's to actual legislation.

That includes primarying RINOs

So, you're saying that you've got nothing but waiting to see if Trump fails. It is your hope that the country fails.

It's not a question of "if Trump fails". He's already failed. He failed the day he started this whole tariff nonsense.

Nobody's is making deals with Trump. We all signed new trade deals with Trump the last time he was in office. Everybody told Trump to go fuck himself and to abide by the deals he negotiated the last time he was in office. This is why Trump is now saying he's just going to send out letters on tariffs.

Last week's failure of the Treasury Bond auction speaks volumes. Nobody is buying your worthless bonds with Trump running the country. You're verging on bankruptcy. Just like every company Trump has ever run.

Until now, Trump has made no attempt to legislate his illegal EO's, all of which are getting tossed out of court.

The days are going by here, the mid terms (usually a good time for the opposing party) are inching closer, and I don't know if I've ever seen one of the "major" parties this shy, meek and quiet. I'm seeing absolutely no clear, strong, focused message coming from the party.

Is the Democratic Party 2026 strategy going to be to point at the GQP and hope that's enough? I really don't think that's a great idea. What's going on?

I know that at least 75% of the responses to this question will be trolling from the Right, but if anyone has anything constructive to identify, that would be appreciated.

The Midterm Loss Rule: What Do Voters Expect in 2026?

LOL, looking at polling to forecast elections...peoples trust in polling is inline with trust in the media.
Too big to rig not only screwed democrats in the elections but it's also screwing them in manipulating polling.

It was good for the Progs to lose. Especially now that there is validation about Joe and the 2020 election. Progs have perhaps several months to change and/or soften some of the agendas. Most of the media/entertainers are still spewing the stuff the same as before. Still, some have softened their arrogance and even promote some change. Currently at this point if the Progs come to power in Congress, the impeachment crap will start again, and all of the circus stunts will increase several fold also. Trump has learned to push back in his way when Progs do their smearing. He may even sign EO's just to get under your skins. Citizens now know we have Communist low-level judges. In a pure dictatorship, we will not need these people, and they will be dealt with. New judges with 100% adherence to the Dictators in power will be anointed and deal with mostly citizens who do not agree with the new system of rule. The Communist ones who helped to get the Dictators in power and are now 100% loyal to the Progressive Socialist Party will not be needed anymore and executed to give some crums to the citizens. Especially the former Republican voters.

Well I'm conservative but my intention is not to troll. I think your comment is spot on. Dems (with the exception of AOC) are almost all missing in action. And, so far, their only message is just like 2024 (bashing Trump and Republicans).

When you claim the right will troll your thread, that is you, trolling and flaming in the opening op.

You made your thread a troll thread with that statement in your opening.
Do you actually disagree with the points made in the OP or do you simply wish they weren't true, so they bother you in that way?

It just seems weird to me that they've been so quiet.

The LEAST we could do is fix THIS one, but overall we just don't care enough.

I've seen a couple of pieces about how AOC is the "face of the party" now. Do you agree with that, and do you think she should be moving up in the party now?
I agree with that about AOC. Why? Because she's the one putting in the work and there is a lot to be said about determination and work like that.

That's one of the things about Trump which many really like and respect, especially this term. He's working very hard and he's at it every second.

It's hard to admire laziness and AOC is about the only one who isn't being lazy on the left. I disagree with all her views, but I have to admire her spunk and hard work.

The

The GOP has the house (which passed the budget with a single vote 215-214), the Senate, the Presidency, and the SCOTUS. We are getting what America voted for whether they want it or not.

There is not much Democrats can do except call out the lies in committee debate, make public statements, talk to the public about the issues. This is very similar to years 1&2 of Obama when he had the House, the Senate, SCOTUS, and the White House. He had free reign and all the GOP could do was whine. They were written off and two years later won the midterms.

  • The committee meetings have been tense and full of accusation and calling out hypocrisy
  • AOC and Bernie did a nation wide tour of rallies
  • Pete is out travelling and on every single news show
  • The democrats unitedly have voted against the idiotic budget bill and nearly everything

What else you think they should be doing?

Talking about what they will offer and do - and it has to be sincere and not just some talking point narrative. The need to give voters a real reason to want to support them.
