“We all hear that the president is not above the law,” Dershowitz explained, “but Congress is not above the law: When Congress impeached the president earlier this week, they committed six independent violations of the Constitution.” Dershowitz is not a conservative Republican, but rather a well-known liberal Democrat, providing additional weight to his opinion that Congress’ impeachment of Trump flies in the face of the provisions of the Constitution on the issue of impeachment of a president.

I've yet to see a politician, of any stripe, adhere to his/her oath of office.
The only time it's even brought up is when it suits a particular agenda- that and sovereignty- both are a joke to the dwellers in the District of Criminals-

They might not hate it because they just don't know what the hell it is. Democrats make good communists but not good Americans

Dershowitz is a publicity whore, and will say anything to a camera.

Always has been, always will be.
Our representatives have no idea what the Constitution says, he does,

Did Dershowitz keep his underwear on when he wrote this?

There was nothing in the Constitution that was violated.

I noticed two lefty pussies, candyass and toro, did the usual democrat drive-by and run.
Pussies.
I'm not running. There are no violations to the Constitution. If you know them, explain the six that were violated and how. Now let's see who's doing a drive by.

Under the Constitution, the House can impeach a President for "treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors." Then the Senate holds a trial and needs a two-thirds majority to convict and remove the President from office. Another vote would be necessary to bar the then ex-President from holding office again, but this vote would require only a simple majority.
The Constitution doesn't specifically address convicting an ex-President but simply says "The President," VP and all civil officers "shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

You cannot remove someone who is not there. You lose.

Totally irrelevant! The crimes were committed while in office. There is nothing in the Constitution that dismisses Trump's crimes after he leaves office. You lose with your grotesque ignorance and absence of any rebuttal information supporting your claim. You are the one who lost dumb ass.

Unless the communists intend to remove Chicom Biden from office they can't do anything else. The senate lacks jurisdiction to take any other action. It speaks only of the president. No private citizen.

You show up here to do nothing more than to talk out of your ass. And you sure as hell don't have the foggiest idea what a communist is. Lol!
